Hi guys so I when I am older I want to be a hair dresser and stylist. I practice a lot of hairstyles on my younger cousins and siblings but I windered what other things would be good I am wondering if I should try and get a saturday job in a hairdressers so I can get the feel for it even if I only end up sweeping hair up and making drinks. If anyone could shed any light on this I would be most greatful. Thank you.

I think the saturday job is a good idea it gives you experiance and it will help in the future! you could get a doll head block and clamp, you could look up some hair dressing tutorials and learn about dying or hightlighting and try it out on the dolls head, also wash and blowdrying would be a good thing as thats one of yhe first things you will learn at college or in the salon, then its usually perming, youll need yo learn about products, I wouldnt start trying to do cuts, as they will teach you a certain way! but learning this stuff before will give you a better chance, and will help you pass quicker :)
