I want to start using powder foundation because I can't use foundation or even bb creams because my skin is just so sensitive!! I want to know if powder foundation gives the same coverage as foundation and if it's suitable for dry sensitive skin on application? Also any tips on how to apply powder foundation? Thanks!

I don't like them because because it may look cakey on oily skin but you said you have dry skin so I think you can use it on well moisturized skin otherwise it will look patchy.

You can use some of them with damp sponge.

I personally wouldn't USD powder if you have dry skin. when I first started using makeup, I used powder foundation (had dry/oily skin at the time) & it just highlighted my dry patches :s it also looked very cakey by the end of the day.
if I were you, it try & invest in a primer to use with your liquid foundation or BB cream. it creates a barrier between your skin & the foundation so it should help protect it. I think Benefit makes one specifically for sensitive skin :p

The tarte powder foundations is great for dry or oily skin. It's buildable and feels light. I forget I have makeup on.

I have dry skin & during the wk for work, I use Laura mercier powder foundation. I really love it. No powder is going to cover like a liquid, but this is pretty good coverage & looks smooth.

I use mineral powders, I love them. I've used both BareMinerals and Tarte. I personally prefer Tarte - and I buff it in using the Kabuki brush recommended for it. You only need a little bit for it. I've had mine since last summer and still use it daily, it gives medium coverage that you can build up. I recommend a primer if your skin is really sensitive. Try CoverFx for primers, there are suitable for sensitive skin. Stick to primers/make up that is free of fragrance and alcohols. That is the biggest irritant out there and way more damaging than the parabens hype.

I am not a fan of powder foundation it looks to poweery and unnatural to me, as to coverage it buildabubal for dry skin I don't think this would be the best since it might just enhance how dry it is... I'd suggest to keep trying liquid foundation ask jaqueline for what kind of foundation for sensitive skin and tell here which foundations you have tried and your skin type and she eill tell you exactly what you need 😊

If you use a mineral powder foundation then it is usually good for sensitive skin. I also have dry skin and I like bare minerals. Just moisturise well before hand

You should try a korean bb cream or even dr. Jart. They are wonderful for sensitive skin. As for powder, go with bare minerals. Make sure to get the finishing veil also :)
