I read somewhere that the no poo method helped one girl with dandruff. You just use baking soda/honey/water to shampoo with and apple cider vinegar and water mixture to conditioner. Try looking up no poo method if you want more details on it. :)

Try this one take Luke warm coconut oil in a bowl and add 1-2 pallets of camphor in it. Let the camphor melt in oil. Apply it on your scalp and leave it for half and hour and then rinse your hairs. Follow this routine twice a week and you will get good results after 4-5 washes. Do not use too much camphor as it will cause irritation in eyes. I prefer to use and suggest home made remedial measures as they are safe without much side effects and are also cost effective :-)

You may have psoriasis or eczema. Tea tree oil treatment by Paul Mitchell or Sallys has a killer Generic brand. You can also boil 2 cups water..add two green tea bags and let. steep overnight. Put cooled tea in a squeeze bottle. Wash your hair..then apply the green tea rinse and throw on a towel or showercap for an hour. When rinsing really massage your scalp. Green tea kills bacteria, reduces scales and inflammation. Condition as normally and rinse. Lastly, drugstores carry a topical med called Scalpacin. That is a last resort though. If it continues, I'd see a derm. Also..up your Vitamin E intake.

DONT use anti dandruff shampoos as they will only make your dandruff worse! If selsun doesn't work just use oil!You probably have dandruff because your scalp is very dry and the only way to hydrate it is to apply oil!If not oil then use lemons! They will burn but they do the job. Also make sure the shampoo you use is Sodium Laureth Sulphate free as this will further dehydrate your scalp and make your hair worse.Himalaya is a sulphate free shampoo that you get in places outside India as well.
