Hi everybody, I'm a newbie to makeup and I'm looking to invest in some good quality (good value) brushes. What are your favourite brushes? And what you include in a brush starter kit?

I love the optical blurring brush by urban decay for my foundation. It's amazing! Gives really good coverage and blend

Nia, BH cosmetics 120 pallets are great to start practicing with. So many colors for great price. They wouldn't recommend the 88 color pallets, but I love the 120 color pallets!!

Look into the sigma essentials kit, it has everything you need for basic makeup application and its around $120 on amazon. I've also heard great things about the Sedona Lace 12 set of brushes designed by a makeup guru on youtube, her username is makeupbyrenren and she goes into depth about every brush in the set. If you're on a tighter budget than that, i would get the ELF studio 12 piece brush set and its only $30! I even saw it on sale at one point for $3.50 but i think that sale is over.

For starters, I would suggest Coastal Scents. Super inexpensive $36 for 22 nice quality brushes for a low budget. They are amazing.
