So I have prime time by bare minerals & I tried to use it on my eyes since I don't usually use primer for my eyeshadow.
But I feel like it just kinda wet my brush and messed up my actual eyeshadow (in the pot)
Is there a difference between face and eye primer? Or did I just use too much.
Or is it the brand?
What's a good eye shadow primer?
Annnd, what are your thoughts on using nyx jumbo pencil in milk as a base with no primer?? :)
Thanks!!

I use lid primer in addition to the jumbo milk, but only when I need more pigment pop. It works wonderfully!

Eye primer helps prevent eye shadows from slipping off of your eyelids, while face primers can be used for multiple reasons! For example my skin is oily, so I like using smashbox primer to help my skin stay matte. I personally wouldn't use milk as a primer, only because it's reaaally shimmery, and white! But it's all preference :) I hope this helps!

Okay, thank you for the opinions & suggestions! :)
& I think cottage cheese may be the shimmery one. I'm not sure though. But I get what you're all saying. ;)

There isn't a big difference...
Eye primers are used for a few thatngs. They give you a nice clean surface to work on. They help to richen the color value of the shadows you wear. and then some are crease resistant, so it keeps your eye shadows from dressing up and gathering... Normally you apply primer with your ring or middle finger. Those are particularly weak fingers so it lessens the pull on your skin and force placed upon your eyelid...You can simply put a dit of it on your finger and then pat it in, all over you eye.
In my opinion there is nothing wrong with the brand or product you used, just misuse... I see no problem with just using a base. If you wanted to go that route I would reccommend purchasing the actual Bus eyeshadow base, it comes in a pot. It's a good buy, trust me...My favorite eyeshadow primer is of course Urban Decays original primer potion, however Elf cosmetics sell a very good one for a few bucks...
Face primers are also used for a couple different reasons... They help to cover up things, such as acne, freckles, bumps... It Gives the skin a nice flat surface, making foundation look smooth and flawless, when you apply it... It is kind of like inadvertently adding another layer of skin atop yours, co wring your flaws you don't want seen... It is Heaven sent let me tell you now...
Overall they have very similar purposes however their formulations are slightly different...
Hope this helped and have a Wonderful Day!!:)

@makenzie thank you! I have been considering purchasing the urban decay primer. But I was worried it would do the same thing my face primer did. Good to know! :) thanks.
