I have small lashes and as flat as they can be, I purchased by mistake a non waterproof mascara and it doesn't hold the curl at all, not even by a second, so I was wondering if you have any tips to make it work?

I wouldn't use waterproof mascara everyday. Only special occasions. This is as most waterproof mascara's contain tar in them, which damages your lashes if you use them all the time. Eventually they will become very delicate, rough, coarse and in some cases fall out. '
Do you curl your lashes before hand?

Yes, I have to curl them, they have none on their own. That's why I use waterproof mascara, because they go flat again with the other one in seconds :(
Now I NEED to know how to make them hold the curl with what you just said!! lol

Let your mascara dry out a little... the less liquidy it is, the less it will weigh down your lashes...

that could do the trick, thanks Soma S. :)

Soma is right on with the "the less liquidy it is the less it will weigh down your lashes". I have to curl my lashes every day but I rarely use waterproof mascara. Some days I use a heated lash curler or just hit my standard metal one with my hair dryer for a few seconds. On the days that I don't heat my curler, I just make sure I'm counting to 10 as I'm squeezing my curler, then move up the lash, count again until I'm done curling. I swipe my mascara wand on a tissue to remove most of the product from the wand and apply my mascara. I find that the less product on the wand adds less weight.

That makes sense too :)
I also tried to mix with a waterproof mascara but it looked so clumpy and ugly. I like them to look natural, that's a great way to do that
Thanks Maria.

*sigh* ..it's funny how quickly myths can spread.
There isn't tar in waterproof mascara. The reason that many people experience lashes falling out, is because of using the wrong products & techniques to remove it.
