I'm looking for a foundation that gives about medium coverage and won't look cakey and stays on for about 6-8 hours. I have oily-combination skin incase you were wondering. And also what brush is best for applying whatever foundation you suggest? Thanks for the help <3 check out my channel to if you want :) http://m.youtube.com/?&client=mv-google&rdm=4nq0fylu6&tsp=1#/profile?user=JustCallMeChrissie

My favorite is Revlon Colorstay. It has a matte finish, and stays on my face for 8+ hours!

a few, and i've tried a lot!
1.) Revlon Colorstay (both normal and oily versions work for me)
2.) Revlon Photoready
3.) Cover Girl Natureluxe foundation
Ones that i DON'T like:
neutrogena (all)
maybelline (can't find a good color match)
cover girl clean and tinted moisturizer versions

I'll have to do some research on them :) what kind of brush do you usually use to apply these foundations?

Revlon Colorstay is actually a VERY, VERY full coverage foundation.
I'm always hearing great things about L'oreal True Match Foundation & the NYX HD foundation. Both are med coverage. Buildable as well. :)

Well I live in Canada so I can't really get NYX unless I order online which I don't really want to do but I'll find out some info on the true match foundation :)

@Chrisanne D I use a Sonia Kashuk Flat Top Multipurpose brush. You can find it at Target for $14.99 it's a really good brush.

Covergirl Nature Luxe is my all time favorite from the drugstore! Revlon colorstay is good but not the best, in my opinion.

I use Revlon Colorstay when I want full coverage and Maybelline Fit me when I want light to medium coverage. But my HG is BE.

Revlon Colorstay (for the Combination/Oily version, it may be best applied with your [clean] fingers) and Maybelline Fit Me (standard flat foundation brush will do).

I would have to say Revlon Colorstay!

My favorite is revlon colorstay for dry skin. buff is the exact color of my skin. the maybeline fit me collection is pretty good as well. The loreal true match was such a dud for me. I could moisturize like crazy and I always flake with it.

@chrisanne: sorry I didn't reply earlier ( i don't always get on beautylish everyday). I have also found a variety of ways to apply my foundation. My favorite way is by using the Eco tools bronzer brush (artificial hair) and dabbing that into the foundation i put on the back of my hand. it spreads the foundation and blends it in no time! Love it! Other ways I like are...
1.) Colorstay matte with a wet sponge
2.) Sonia Kashuk flat top brush that earlier poster mentioned (I like the eco tools better though because it's bigger and works faster)
3.) Flat synthetic foundation brush (works especially well for colorstay for dry skin)
I'm not a fan of using my fingers, i feel that they don't apply as well as a brush in general.

I've tried Revlon Colorstay and it never fails to deliver the full coverage I need when the weather is hot and humid out.
Rimmel Clean Finish : Loving this right now. It has a slightly whipped consistently in the bottle with a built- in spatula. It goes medium to full coverage depending on how much you actually use. It's build-able unlike Colorstay imo.

i have oily/combo skin and i actually use covergirl smoothers liquid make up which feels like a tinted moisturizer with more coverage. it's buildable and since it's hydrating, it doesn't cake or look bad. i just set it with multiple powders (about 4 lol) and i don't have a problem all day. here's what i do to make it work for me:
primer, covergirl smoothers, concealer, elf hd powder (smooth finish), mac studio fix powder plus foundation (for a little extra coverage), rimmel stay matte & then nyc's translucent highlighter glow mosaic powder (for a glowy finish without a liquid highlighter)
i find that works well for me :)

the rimmel clean finish IS really nice. I like the consistency. the only thing that was hard for me is finding your right shade. for some reason in the bottle they all look very similar so you have to actually test them to see. I just guessed since I am usually the lightest or second lightest shades. I took the second lightest and it is a decent match.

I really like the CoverGirl Queen collection because it's light and has different undertones to match each skin complexion.
