Hello! I get a ton of questions about my hair so often and know that when I was clueless in the past of products to use or tips and tricks, I would have appreciated and loved a great tutorial and informative step by step on how to do it!
So for any girls interested in dyeing their hair red and looking for a tutorial, I wanted to share the link to my blog post.
Hopefully I answered all questions on how to's!
Thanks xox

beautiful color sara! i also have red hair but I'm not confident enough to dye my own permanently so i go to the salon and they get my naturally brown hair pretty darn red. love it. i think it's harder to maintain though - it def. takes patience to be a dyed redhead.

I have to admit its tough dyeing yourself! Easy to miss spots as well. I usually get my hair professionally done one month then dye myself for a couple of months then get it done again to help keep everything even :)

I also used to touch mine up at home with manic panic vampire red. it sort of just brightened it up when it lost its 'lustre'. however, it was, again, a pain. and, it didn't make it that much deeper, just refreshed it. So, I just get mine updated ever 6 weeks now - alternating roots then allover. what shampoo do you use and how often do you shampoo? i found that keeping shampoos spaced out helped me tremendously.

Courtney C. : Sorry for a late reply, I usually have to touch up roots every 4 weeks, other than that the rest of my color seems to last me just about the same as you, around 6 weeks or a little less depending on how well my color care was. I use Generic Brand from Sally's for paul mitchell. I try to go as long as I can without washing my hair, usually 5 days, I can last a bit longer when using dry shampoo. I also rarely use product in my hair so it helps keep my hair clean longer
