I had my eyebrows tinted yesterday and they are way to dark. I noticed that they were almost right away but I didnt think it was a big deal b/c they will fade. BUT... I went to the pool today and my mom and best friend said they are not only too dark but they appear a redish/purple in the sun. I have a formal wedding that I am attending this weekend. Is there anything that I can do to lighten them?

Go back to where you had them done and tell them that they left the tint on for too long and they are too dark. They should use a product kind of like a dye remover to make them better. If you don't want to have to go back then try using an at home dye remover from the drug store. I also hear a baking soda solution works to get dye out of hair :) I hope it works!

Use a clarifying shampoo on them - do it 2 or 3 times. Luckily, eyebrow hairs shed pretty quickly, and they fade fast as well.

Hi Rachael, if you go to your local beauty supply store they have kits for lightening your brows. I've used them before and they work well. You pretty much bleach your brow hairs so you'll have to keep it on shortly and keep careful watch.

@Kimberly... I will look to see if I have a clarifying shampoo at home.
@Jasmine... I still want them to be dark, just not this dark. Will that lighten them up completely back to the blonde that they are naturally?
So far I have used my makeup wipes (a few times), and I have washed my face a few more times then I normally do. I think that they are looking better... or I am just getting used to it. haha

@Rachael - no problem! Personally, I'd avoid the bleaching kit. It won't go make your brow color go back to blonde. Color removal through bleach goes through a veeerrrryyyyyy ugly orange state that's hard to break through sometimes; and if you do get past it, the result can be yellowish or too pale, even white.
Even if using the clarifying shampoo doesn't work entirely, at the very least, you can tone out whatever red/violet cast they have with a neutral brow powder or pencil.
