Hey guys, I bought NYX's e/s in white a LONG time ago and fell in love with it. I am finally running out so I purchased another one and it isn't nearly as good as the first I bought. I read that the white shadow was chalky and hard to use but mine wasnt, but my new one is. Why do you guys think NYX products are so incosistant with their quality? This has happend with my NYX JEP in Black Bean as well.

At the start they push out products that are good. They know it will sell. And after a while change the formula cutting cost and give a different product slapping the same lable on it when technically it is not and continue to sell.

I ordered some nyx lipsticks off porkdaisy website and they have a weird smell almost like burnt rubber! My other nyx lipstick don't smell like that! Does anyone else have that problem?

i think nyx is slowly bombing. i dont know if you guys were involved with their anniversary sale but what a mess that was- i actually lost all my respect for the brand and refuse to support the brand anymore.. but it does seem like now they're just trying to do quantity over quality, which is a shame. i hope you ladies find old items you love that end up working the way they used to!

I've bought many, many new products over the past month or two & all of them were great. I was having that exact problem over a year ago though - maybe it's an old batch?? All of my new NYX products have been fine recently. :)

If you contact wherever you bought it from, I'm sure they will replace it. I usually got my hauls from Ulta and CherryCulture and they both have been great about exchanges and returns.
As for the anniversary sale, yeah it was a bomb...waited all day...and even took my laptop with me so I can try to purchase before starting my day at work...ugh!

Yeah that sale was such a bummer! I spent all day on the computer trying to get through and in the end, no one even gotten anything for $1.20 as advertised. So lame lol

Yeah, hauls my butt! NOBODY got in! As much as I love NYX, it was really shady of them to not extend the deal when it wasn't our fault but theirs!

I am not sure about the inconsistency in the same stuff because I have yet to repurchase anything from them...but I notice a huge difference in different products. I have some eyeshadows from them that are pigmented, soft, and blendable and they have become some of my favorite colors but some that are so hard that they are completely useless! And their blushes are great - insane pigmentation - but the two bronzers that I got are so hard that they are useless as well. But that alone makes me not want to buy any eyeshadows or cheek products unless I could test it out!! I feel like I can't count on it being good even if they have a few good products :( and I feel like a lot of it has been a waste of money.

I love NYX. I have never had a problem with there products. they are actually one of my top go to products. I use them on a daily basis. Try going to a different place to purchase your NYX items. Maybe the place you went to had old items.

<<NOBODY got in!>>
Maybe no one you *know* got in, but to say "nobody" got in is a bit of a stretch.
Smashley, who's a member of this site, got in. I'm sure there were others who managed to purchase something from the sale, too. (I think it was around 200 who managed to get something during the anniversary sale.)
I'll be ordering a few NYX products from Ulta soon. (Jumbo eye pencil in Milk, a couple of the lipglosses.)

The only times I have ordered NYC is from their own website. I bought some JEPs at Ulta once and some lipsticks at a drugstore. All of the shadows and blushes were purchased online at their website. You would think that they would have the best quality control there right? Anyway, I still say they show inconsistent quality depending what you get. But the ones that are good are amazing.
