I've recently started filling in my brows to make them look bolder and so they won't be so sparse. But was wondering what works best on brows. Powder, gel, or pencils. I'm currently using e.l.f's eyebrow kit. I mainly use the gel, and only use the powder to set it sometimes.

It really depends on your brows and what you prefer. Pencils work best if you have very sparse brows; that way you could draw in the shape. Powder could also be used if you have sparse brows and could be used to lightly define. It tends so look a bit more natural. I am not saying you have to use it this way or that, but it depends on what looks best for you :)

I prefer to use a pencil for my brows, but as everyone mentioned, it's all about personal preference.

I like thick but natural looking brows, so I fill in with a brown powder and then use a pencil along the bottom and outside edges to make a crisp line.

definitely depends on what you prefer, like everyone has said. i personally use elf's brow kit. i have an eyebrow spoolie and first i brush my brows. then i go in with the gel and fill in what needs filling. after that, i brush my brows again with the spoolie to spread the product out so i can finish up with the powder from the kit. i always brush it again at the end as well. i'd recommend brushing out your brows before, during and after you use product to make sure everything is where you want it to be. there's a brow brush from elf for a dollar you can use for this! that's what i use :)

I like using a combination of pencil & powder. Pencil to just fill in empty little spots & powder to set & shape out the rest. It's all really preference - I don't believe there's no better or worse way of doing it. They all seem to be just as effective. :D
Though I've never used a brow gel - just ordered some & hoping that will help with those awkward hairs that just don't seem to want to set. ^_^

I use pencil clear gel and a little bit of powder just to set them I have sparse brows and also a scar above one of them so the hair grows uneven if I leave them just natural

I use MACs spiked pencil because I like my eyebrows to have a sharp and defined shape. I think you could pretty much get away with using any option, I just think the pencil is a faster technique. You could always just use a light hand when filling your brows with a pencil to get a more natural toned down shape =)

I like powder :) I don't always fill them in, but when I do I go for powder. I love sexpresso from Too faced for a defined look, and velvet revolver from Too faced for a very natural look. I have tried the Maybelline brow pencil but did not like the results at all. It looked way too harsh on me. Like everyone says it is just personal preference. <3 I have pretty full brows already so when I fill them in its just a couple gaps. I use Maybelline clear mascara as brow gel to set my brows, and lately I have been enjoying using a wax. I find that setting my brows with a wax makes them look thicker and darker without having to fill them in!

when you use a pencil, be careful - you don't want it to look too harsh! but for the more "soft" look, then i'd say powder. but like what they all have been sayin; it's a personal preference!
i personally don't like to fill 'em in at all, i just brush them - and i'm ready to go!

Yeah, totally preference. I hate drawn in eyebrows, lol. But my eyebrows are so weird that I have to. I use wax and a cheap (cheap=dull) eye liner so it doesn't look drawn in.
