I was just wondering what some of the lovely people here on Beautylish use for storing makeup products.
I need some ideas (pictures would be great too!)

My best advice is always save little boxes as they work great for custom dividers in drawers! I can never find drawer-insert dividers that I like or that fit into the drawers of my storage container, but I've kinda made my own dividers using little boxes from things like sunglasses, jewelry, etc!

When my bf and I moved in together, I think he underestimated the amount of makeup I have... I've basically taken up every bit of storage space in the bathroom and I think we need to put some extra shelving in there. When he rolls his eyes, I remind him that I surrendered our second bedroom so he could have an office. =)

^Hahahaha! That sounds super familiar in this house! My boyfriend calls me the "Space Invader". Every nook and cranny our our room and bathroom screams FEMALE! Poor guy...
Also, my friends and I were talking, and it seems mandatory every time a girl and guy move in together, something Hello Kitty must be a part of the decor. My bf got to meet my Hello Kitty alarm clock... another friend of mine moved in w/ her bf and added a Hello Kitty rice cooker to their apt. =P
As far as makeup storage is concerned, I use an ISIS rolling cart: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/551048/Office-Depot-Brand-Medium-Plastic-Storage/?cm_cat=2000000353
It's done a great job of organizing the excess that can't fit my vanity, and I like the shallow size of the drawers - I can see everything and it's not buried underneath loads of junk I have to dig through. =)

I just did a blog post on this, since I'm all set up in my apartment:

Pictures and descriptions are there! :)

I keep my makeup in the top drawer of a three-drawer dresser that I've had virtually all my life. Stuff is separated into deep drawer organizers I got at The Container Store (I want to get a few more so I can organize it a bit better, not to mention I've gotten a few more products since I originally bought the ones I have now). I keep brushes (and eyeliners) on top of that; they're stored in pencil cups I got at K-Mart.

i get a lot of cute stuff from the discount sections at stores, especially after holidays. i bought these cute halloween cups with just rainbow skeletons on them for $1 each at walgreens & store my brushes in there. just because it doesn't say "PUT EYESHADOWS IN THIS" doesn't mean you can't use it for storage. i have a hello kitty small bucket type thing i keep all my lippies in.
