Hey everyone,
So this is going to more of a bitch fit then anything. lol. I was writing a review for my blog about a lipstick that was in the free gift from Ulta. I actually really like the color but when I got to the end of my post where I usually leave a link to purchase the product, I couldn't leave one. Why because when I went to the website to find the product for purchase, it is nowhere to be found! They don't even sell the color! How does that make sense? they created it only for the gift? So when people get the gift and like the color we are all just screwed, and can't actually purchase it? Shouldn't they be trying to sell us their products? I don't know, but this pissed me off!
thanks for the vent! (:

Did you buy it in-shop or online? Sometimes the shops will carry products that aren't available online, and vice versa. It depends on the region you live in. I've found things at Sephora shops in other cities, but not here in Chicago - and not online either. It's a bummer, I know!

Oh wait - it was gifted? Ah! That's why. True story: I got a gift from Barney's a couple of years ago, a candle from Diptyque that I really really loved. I wanted to buy a new one and went to Barney's to buy another one, but couldn't find it. Turns out Diptyque made them only as giveaways for Barney's cardholders as a Christmas gift. Never to be found again. Maybe that's what happened with Ulta?
Also, I've bought palettes from Sephora - their brand - and fell in love with a color that wasn't available as a single purchase. Booooo....

id say its probably a ploy to get you to buy more of that brand so you can get the free gift again. more money in their pockets! money corrupts people, dang it lol

Kimberly, that freaken sucks, You would think that they would want to market their products, even if they are in a free gift! So weird!

The BIG problem for me is that Barney's does this every year - get me hooked on something then snatch it away like muahahahahah!! You can't have it anymore, sucka!
