I've been wanting to start doing youtube videos for make-up and/or hair but I've been having a bit of trouble trying to think of the first few video ideas. Any suggestions?

It always helps to do your everyday makeup. That's how I started. I'm not a big fan of my video but it got me started. After that I started looking at tags, eyeshadows I never used, celebrities and things like that. Now I have a list of things I want to do on my channel but it's so long it'll probably take me like a year to do all of them....

To start you can do reviews, hauls and comparisons. If you're good at applying makeup then do some tutorials on simple things like every day looks and work into other looks. :D

I started out with mostly tags & hauls, and favorites videos. It takes a little bit to get used to the camera so I don't recommend jumping into tutorials right away, unless you are very comfortable :) Good luck & let us know when make your channel!
