Practice makes perfect, hun. I don't do videos but I have friends who do and if you picture the camera as your close girlfriend then you end up talking as if you are just explaining something to a friend and the words just flow. Maybe type up a "script" and literally just type as you think. Then go back and delete any words or sentences that are extra "fluff" and not info that you need to give the viewer. You'll be able to get down to the meat of the tutorial and get your point across.
I this helps sweetie! Good luck and don't sweat it!! <3

If you go back and look at any YTers first few videos they seem really awkward. The more videos you make the more comfortable you will become with the camera. Instead of a script I would suggest writing a list of topics you want to cover within the video so you don't get too offtrack. I think your personality will come out more this way instead of reading word for word off of a script. :)

Sounds like you're still getting used to being in front of the camera.

Jot down some short notes to keep you on track if you find yourself at a loss for words. It helps keep me on track if I'm doing more of a discussion topic, rather than a haul/review or demo.

In the end, it's all about practice. Since I started my 30 day video challenge, I've noticed that I'm a lot more comfortable in front of the camera and the progression is noticeable.. at least to me.  LOL

Hi Farha! I actually just wrote an article about it if you'd like to check it out but if you lose focus, writing out a script and having it at hand can keep you from wandering off. Just writing it out can help you map out what you're going to say on camera. Here's the article if you're interested :) http://www.beautylish.com/a/vpvcs/recording-jitters

My first video was totally awkward. I just kept making videos and now I feel totally comfortable. I went from this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltx-RapNzMU) to this (http://www.youtube.com/user/kcmbeauty#p/u/4/pA963-qgkXI). You get better with time. I still have a LONG way to go but I feel like I've already improved a ton!!
