I had one in my hair, and loved it, but after a while it got in the way of me doing more formal hair styles because trying to go to formal events and having a feather randomly stick out of your head looked rather odd and a bit tacky. I finally got sick of it because it pulled so badly on the hair that it was attached to. I went to straighten my hair one day and it just randomly came off and I can't say I was upset. They're cute for a bit then they just get annoying.

It's cool that other people like them, but I'm not really a fan.

I think they're cute - but if they do as Itzayana described, probably not worth it.

I think they are adorable! Maybe I'm a tad bias because I love naturey type things, but I soooo wish I could get one!

the salon that i work at just got them, i think they're adorable! one of my bosses has a twelve year old daughter who had one in the other day, and she looked so pretty with it in! i know my hair is long in my picture, but if you've seen any of my recent videos, i cut my hair an angled cut (short in the back, longer in the front) and i think it would look really good! i may have to try it... ;)

To me it seems like this feather hair extesion fad seems to be heading down to the younger generation. Like Breanna said her bosses twelve year old daughter has one, as do a few of my younger cousins, ashley who is six , darlene who is 10, taiz who is almost thirteen and my best friends sister who is nine. Although it is quite cute on anyone it does seem as tho the younger generation is getting more into it than any one else.

^ The younger generation got a hold of this trend sooo long ago in LA. You see little girls wearing them all over the mall. I don't like it - I think it's tacky & reminds me of '06 c00n tAiLZzz.

I have a whole bunch in my hair but mostly because I put them in for other people and it's like free advertisement in my own hair. All of the girls that I have put them in for are in their 20's some in the early and some in the late 20's. I love them. :)

I love them! Everyone that asked me about it has gotten them. Its obviously a personal preference. I like it wayy better than the tinsel trend though. Feathers just adds a cute accessory to your hairstyle :)

yes, i agree korie, i really prefer these to the tinsel trend. the tinsel, i dont know, that just simply looks tacky.
I still love the feather but I think I'd rather go for the clip ins rather than the extensions they kind of stck into your hair.

Hey! I love the feather hair extensions! I have some in my hair right now! I do see what your mom is saying though, she has probably seen those girls who put a ton of them in their hair at once. Now that is tacky! I just have a few in my hair on one side. So they look more like a low-light. If you don't over-do then they are absolutely adorable! If you are worried about it, I recommend buying some clip ins! They recently started selling them at Ulta's near my house. They are the exact same thing except you can take them in and out! xoxo, nykki

I have had mine in for months!!! I did learn how to take them out and put them in myself... so I have been able to do it for cheap. I bought most of mine of etsy.com. You really should learn how to do it yourself b/c once your hair grows your brush can get cought up at the root area. I have a total of 9 bundles (all different colors), and I get compliments on them ALL THE TIME. I am older too... i am 29 and 13 months (haha). I dont have mine right on top. I have it one, sometimes 2, layers under. I will probably take them out for a wedding that I am going to at the end of August (b/c it is black tie), but I plan on putting a few of them back in the day after. I really do love mine. I hope that the trend lasts through the next year!!!!

I love them, personally.

They look much much better underneath your hair. I don't like when people put them on top of their hair because they just look like you are trying to hard to get them noticed. Rachael, your's sound perfect. Not on the top! This is an amazing trend as long as we don't over-do it!

I have a temporary one from icing that's cream colored with some brown. :) if you put itso that in only peeks through the bottom of your hair for nighttime, it looks really cute and appropriate :)
