I am pretty new with the whole makeup category. I have always used it but now I know…not properly. I am going to make everyone’s Halloween Costumes in my house this year and I have to start practicing now on what I want to do. So for myself, I saw this photo and instantly loved it. I would like to duplicate this look and do not know what type of products to use. I can easily google it but since this forum is a lot more active and easier to keep track of, I would love for someone to help. Any tips….what products, tools, etc..

Thanks so much

Sorry please see the photo

WOW that's really beautiful.

Looks to me like a pigment was used overall (mixed with another medium) and used more intensely in higher concentration elsewhere.

Makeup Atelier has a fantastic Carnavale makeup tutorial here >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLyUTVLC0xo&feature=youtu.be

Should give you the groundwork for something similar to this.

Have fun!!

Based on what I see, you can achieve this with either loose pigments or eyeshadow for the skin. Just as long as you prime your face before it will make it easier for the shadows to adhere to your skin and for it to blend easier. The dots you can freehand with an eyeliner pencil, or you can get a stencil and brush eyeshadow on it. The only thing is the dots won't be as dark and defined if you use eyeshadow as opposed to a liner. Hope that helps!

I agree with what Jasmine said. I would use a frosty green pigment for the green on the face, it looks like all of her face has a slight green tint to it, so when you do your foundation I would mix it with a small amount of a matte light green pigment, careful not to add too much. I would also use an eyeliner pencil for the dots, that shouldn't be too hard, I wouldn't use liquid because that would make them too dark. You could even set the eyeliner pencil with a little bit of eyeshadow in the same color, to give it that sort of blended look that the dots in the picture have. Hope that helps some.

Thanks so much guys! This is all really helpful. I will definitely post the practice and then the real thing :)
