What keeps your lipstick in place?

I know that they have those lipsticks out there that is supposedly an 8 hour wear.

Only thing I hate is how nasty it looks when on.

What tricks do you have to make your lipstick last longer?

What Lipgloss is long lasting?

What brands would you suggest without hesitation?

Most people suggest using a lip liner or lip primer to make a lipstick last longer. I personally use neither. I reapply my lipstick throughout the day. I don't really look for a lipstick to last for hours because I know I'll eventually have to apply it again anyways.

My sisters loves wearing lipsticks and she is using the urban decay lip primer and she says it last for hrs. I am still new to the whole lipsticks thing so i stick with lip moisturizers and my NYX lip creams.

I normally just reapply but sometimes I leave things at home...It is hard for me in the mornings to take what I wore that day. I have a bad in my purse with the necessary things. Thanks..I am going to try out the lip primer from UD. I have it but never even opened it. This weekend I will experiment.

Lipliner, lipstick, blot, lipstick, blot again.

That's how my lipstick usually lasts forever. :)

The best long lasting lipstick is the OCC liptars. When I wear those I only need the too faced borderline to keep it from feathering, and it lasts all day! When it comes to regular lipsticks, My routine is lipliner that matches the lipstick (fill in the whole lips), lipstick, blot and lipstick again. The only problem with this, is that you do have to reapply during the day. But I do have a solution for that if I want it to last longer. The Lipcote, www.lipcote.com It looks like a nailpolish, but you put it over your lipstick, and it wont budge until you take it off! :)
