I recently bought a brush set from elf and i recieved a fan brush now im not sure wht its really for but i usually just brush off any fall out i have under my eyes or to apply a highlight. ive seen some ppl use it to apply blush but wht is a fan brush for????????

it's really whatever you want it to be :) a lot of people use it the same way you are.. to brush away fall out or apply a highlight. you could always search "how to use a fan brush" on youtube or google and see what ideas pop up!

I have the elf one and find that it doesn't have nearly enough fibers to effectively brush away fallout. However, I do like it. I use it after I've applied blush (or bronzer or contour or any combo of those). After I've blended everything, getting just a tiny bit of product on the fan brush and making an almost not there line on the cheekbone can make the world's biggest difference. I admit, I come close to overblending, and this trick keeps everything looking natural but defined.

I typically like to use my fan brush to apply highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones, or if I'm working on a client who has some shine going on in their t-zone, I use the fan brush to dust a light coat of translucent powder over any shiny spots. Using it to get rid of fallout is also another plus to using a fan brush!
