Ive been debating picking one of these up but I've heard mixed reviews about elfs eyeshadows. Ive seen a couple reviews on these holiday palettes and they don't seem to be as bad... though I'm not sure if there's a difference. I know the wet and wild palettes are about the same price, are those just as good or better? I haven't tried either brand!

I have the ones from last winter and the ones from spring and to be perfectly honest it's mixed. The books are only $5 so it's not a bad price point but the lighter colors tend to be chalky and not well pigmented while the darker colors are indeed richly pigmented but sometimes some of the colors stain badly.
With Wet 'n' Wild the palettes actually range from $2.99 to $4.99 each. Many are part of the permanent collection, some are limited (like the new I ♥ Matte and baked palettes) and some are to be discontinued (like the six-pans). I own every single WnW palette that has come out in the last year and love them. The colors are rich, well pigmented, silky and can rival Urban Decay's shadows. In fact some of the palettes can even dupe UD's shadows at 99% accuracy.
Which would I recommend? Hands down, Wet 'n' Wild.

I LOVE them both! But I do perfer the ELF Holiday palette's. Although the Wet n Wild palette's are very good quality, and VERY pigmented. The Holiday ELF palettes has bigger varity of colors.

I love Wet N Wild! I got one of their holiday palettes last year for about 4$ It was a limited edition color icon six pans which contained a very pigmented red -- the best drugstore red I have ever stumbled upon! sparkly black, a red, green, gold shimmer shadow, gold shimmer, and a beautiful silver shadow which I think can dupe for Tarte's trueblood palette color "true death". I look forward to more of their holiday palettes! A little sad I haven't seen any anywhere? At least not at Target. I say get Wet n Wild you are less likely to be disappointed with them!
