I was able to sign up for an account not even twenty minutes ago. I was not, however, able to purchase a monthly subscription at this time.

I know that MyGlam states that billing would take place on the 1st of each month but found out it's not exactly true. What ever date you signed up is the date they will place a hold on your card for payment. I signed up November 23 and was charged again on December 23, well a 10 day hold was placed by MyGlam on December 23.

Those of you who subscribed earlier what does your bank or credit card statement say? Have you been charged or a hold been placed for payment?

The MyGlam concept is really cool!

Maybe I can use it in my next video!

I like michelle phan and her make up tutorials. And after hearing about myglam, i really got trilled that i signed up soon as possible. But when i wanted to order the glam bag i bumped into my biggest issue: shipping products internationally.
I did write it on her facebook group, and i am really hoping to order as soon as she makes it possible for her international fans to order.
Because i love the concept of 5 small size products, to test and see if it is something for you or not.

The thing is, what people don't realize, is there are restrictions when shipping internationally for a company.

1. International shipping prices are expensive. Even items sent via postal mail still cost around $12 per box to ship.
2. There are shipping restrictions on certain items - the US postal service will not accept perfumes, nail polish and aerosols (hairspray and the like). - which means they can't legally use the USPS to ship packages domestically, much less internationally, though the US postal service. Bags and boxes with those items must be shipped via ground services like Streamlite, UPS and FedEx.
3. Customs, fees, duties and taxes. Any item that is exported from the US to other countries is subject to those fees and taxes. Who picks up that tab? MyGlam or the subscriber? It would be the subscriber not MyGlam to foot that bill which means you might end up paying triple the value of the products inside the bag.
4. Country restrictions. Many companies actually have restrictions on what is allowed imported and exported which means while it maybe okay for someone in Canada to get something it may not be okay for someone, say, in Saudi Arabia to get get.

@Yasmin Yep. I agree. Sometimes stuff like that ends up being more expensive than it's worth.

I think it's a great idea but I also think I'd have to do some serious number-crunching before I make a commitment like that. [Because] I guess if you usually get higher-end make-up it would be cheaper for you...but I usually go Drugstore =/

A WEN conditioner will be in this month's bag as well.

Really wen?! I loved wen but it became far to expensive for me to keep buying thats really cool that she was able to get such a great product so far from what I've seen the bag has been good, but I have not signed up yet waiting to see if the trend continues hopefully it will!

So I took the plunge and decided to try it out. I can't figure out tho if I'll be getting this months bag or next months bag seems a mixed bag of answers and no official ones from Myglam about it yet

Ashley - you should be getting next month's bag (February's) if I'm not mistaken...I think they are already sold out on the January bags which should have been mailed out today :)

I was so confused with the email they sent out about a valentine day theme bag and sign up before its sold out. I signed up that day, which was the 9th. I can't wait to get my first one.

The January bags sold out in December and so anyone who subscribes in January will get their first bag in February.

Yeah I agree it was confusing and even tho I hate waiting maybe this will work out for me better because I did just tell my bf that I wasn't going to shop for the next few months... lol Maybe by the time it arrives he'll forget I said that :)

Thanks @Yasmin!
@Ashley: haha I say that to myself every month but makeup is very irresistible! lol

LMAO @ Rina "makeup is very irresistible". I KNOW THAT very well! I have a $100 monthly budget but for the last four or so months I've gone WAY over budget. I don't even want to do the math. I'm already way over budget for January and said no more stuff yet just came home from Sephora tonight with a Kat Von D lip stick set for $14 plus SIX perfume samples (three for my eldest daughter, three for my middle daughter). I TRY not to go out (least not without the hubby who curbs my spending) but then there are online stores. I was able snag the 15th Anniversary palette from Urban Decay a few days ago (should be here Friday) from Sephora (it came back in stock then quickly sold out) so that was over $55. I bought some BH Cosmetics earlier in the month (and it's only the 10th!) because it was on sale for 50% off right after New Year's. I bought a ton of new Wet 'n' Wild stuff - lipsticks, nail polish, eyeshadows. I bought some nail implements since all of mine were missing and THAT was pretty pricey even with a pro discount (seriously even with a discount those stupid things are $20 each). I'm SO overbudget but there are still things I'm getting this month - China Glaze's Electropop which I didn't have time to pick up at Cosmoprof today. I want to get some other drugstore items but am holding off since it's lines I normally don't buy because of previous bad experiences with (Maybelline, L'Oreal).

Yasmin, you sound like me!!! We must somehow try to avoid Sephora!!! That is my weakness... and the closest one is 30minutes away from me!! Haha I need shopper's anonymous

LOL I'll sit right next to you at the Shopper's Anonymous! LOL

Well if it's any consolation, I signed up in November and my January shipment confirmation isn't here yet either.
