I haven't gotten any shipping notice or anything yet =/ I usually receive it pretty early...not sure whats up with them this month. Anyone else's not ship out yet?

Actually lots of people haven't. My daughter, as of 8:47 AM Pacific, hasn't received her notice but I received mine three days ago and usually she gets her notice before me.

hmm..I just got notice that my BB has shipped, but here is what was in the email "Your Birchbox is about to ship! We're sorry that we are a tiny bit behind schedule — one of your samples is so new that it hasn't even hit shelves yet. Lesson learned: factor in a cushion for lab production delays. We'll be working overtime to make sure your box ships as soon as possible."
I'm kind of curious now as to what that product could be...anyone else get this same email message?

I just received notice that mine's being delayed, too. I know that all of the boxes include a sample of the custom-colored pink Jouer gloss, but that should be in all of the boxes, so why are only some of us delayed? It's a mystery!

Hmmm I got notice that mine shipped to but I don't recall getting the delay message, although I didn't read it very carefully. Some people have already gotten their boxes too, haven't they?

Mine was "shipped" last Wednesday. This is my first one, I'm very excited. :-) Does everyone think it is worth $10 a month? Do you actually use what you get?

@Darilynn There have definitely been boxes that I feel were worth much more than $10 a month (like June's box when everyone got a full size blush!), and there have also been boxes that I haven't been too happy with. Sometimes Birchbox will surprise you with an awesome full size product, and sometimes the samples are so ridiculously tiny. Its a toss up really, but I usually always find at least 1 product that I like...so I feel like it balances out.
What makes it more worth it is the point system. If you review the products in your box, you get 10 points for each one you review. You also get 50 points for referrals. 100 points = $10, and you can use it towards anything in the Birchbox store. :)

Got mine today...sigh...that's two months in a row my box was missing an item. This time it was missing the porefessional...the one thing I was excited to try. Last month it was the stupid coasters so I didn't care much but I'm pretty bummed about this. Last month I emailed them about it and never got a response.

Can you believe that according to the shipping label # they sent me when they said my box was delayed it still hasn't shipped???? I called and all you can do is leave a message so I did, then I emailed as well. I know a bunch of my readers are in the same boat. What the heck are they doing? Needless to say, I'm pretty certain this month did NOT sway me towards keeping my subscription with them.

My daughter got the same mail. Least they sent out an email unlike Eco-Emi that only Tweeted and Facebooked about it.
Here's what Paulina said to my daughter about her box since she got the tracking # but that hasn't been updated yet.

I am so sorry for the trouble!! So because some of the boxes were sent out on the last day of our guarantee (10th), the tracking is taking a little bit to load. You should most definitely see tracking pop up by the end of this week. Nonetheless, I am adding your information to our system for reshipment. That way, we can also keep an eye on the information and you get first dibs if we have to reship :) hehe
I'm so sorry!!! I promise that the tracking will pop up eventually and we will definitely let you know if we send out a new box.
If you have any questions in the meantime don't hesitate to let me know!

@DJ Those shipping labels are really inaccurate in general though (especially lately for some reason). There were like 3 packages I was waiting on recently, and the USPS tracking had no updates of it being shipped yet I received all 3 of them the same day I checked it haha. Another package had "electronic info received" for 12 days before it magically appeared on my doorstep with absolutely no updates at all with the tracking over that time period.
Of course, I still haven't gotten my BB yet either...but I'm hoping it'll show up today or tomorrow!

The major problem is Birchbox uses Streamlite which is NOTORIOUS for not getting the tracking info in properly or on time. Worse is that, like mine, it'll take up two weeks (10 business days plus four weekend days) before it shows it went from NJ to WA before getting into the USPS hands. I honestly hate Streamlite and wish they would just use USPS or FedEx/UPS instead.

I am about to blow my top! I finally got a response back from Birchbox and was told that a number of us don't have shipping info loaded into the system as a result of some random glitch. I was told that if it doesn't show it's shipped by next week they'll send another out. Next week??? That means I basically get it by the beginning of January :( Not impressed.

They won't send it via normal mail or Streamlite when they send out a replacement. It goes by USPS Priority mail which means you get it within 3 days. I've had them replace my box before due to Streamlite.
