Hey everyone<3 I have a problem with Black eyeshadows, they're my favorite but no matter what it ALWAYS creases, even with a primer and I've used many different ones. At first I just thought it was the brand of eyeshadow I used, but I've purchased so many good quality blacks and no matter what...it creases -___-. any suggestions?

The best primer I've ever used is the Lime Crime primer. It's seriously AMAZING!!! And who doesn't love cute packaging? ^.^ I hate creasing. And this has helped so much! I think something to consider also is mixing black eyeshadows. If you mix a creme and a little bit of powder, not only do you get awesome staying power, you also don't have to worry about that nasty fallout or creasage. This works for me, hopefully it works for you! :D

Black eyeshadow can only be used in certain amounts... I'm sorry but it is not good or flattering if you put it on your whole lid... if you put it a brush in water, then in the eyeshadow, you can use it as an eyeliner or a simple eye shadow

I disagree also, I use it like crazy on my lids haha ^.^

Have you tried using a black base first? You can use either black cream liner followed by black eyeshadow or a black liquid liner followed by black shadow.

I was just about to say what Yasmin said. A black base should work! :)

I've used NYX jumbo pencil in Black Bean and it still seems to crease, but maybe that's just because the pencil is a bit greasy..? Idk haha x) I've used a gel liner as a base and it still happens sometimes :o I don't even have oily lids or anything -.- haha

My favorite is Black Lab by Buxom. I have oily eyelids and Buxom has been tried and true the past year. I use an eyeliner from CHANEL that is about 5 years old, an eyeliner duo. One is black matte the other has a little sparkle. And when I go all black that's my combination. Buxom Black Lab and and the Chanel.

You could try something drier, like a black pencil liner and smudge it out on your lid before applying the eyeshadow.

I also love doing black all over the lids! What I do to get the shadow from creasing is I use UDPP or two faced shadow insurance first. Second layer would be MACs paint pot in background. ( black bean did not work for me ) Third layer is the black eyeshadow : )

^i agree with gel liner... Sets way better than chubby sticks or liners as a base, but work it in and blend fast!

Yup. I use a waterproof gel liner as a base before applying any black eyeshadow. It helps against creasing on my oily lids and the black just shows up better. Good luck, Kristina!

I love Sugarpills Bulletproof, never had a problem with it creasing. But i do find that any of Nyxs jumbo pencils (other than milk) crease like crazy!
