Have you tried not using a shampoo as much? Washing your hair too much will strip your natural oils out of your hair & your hair will produce more oils in defense.
You could look for a sulfate free shampoo, they don't strip your hair as much & in general is a lot healthier for your hair. =]

I have really oily hair and I like to carry around a dry shampoo sometimes in case it gets too gross... A little spray and a little finger action and it really helps soak up the oil, making your hair look cleaner and fresher.

dont wash your hair everyday, i know it sounds gross but i have extremely oily hair as well, and i have noticed that you can kind of " train" your hair to not be oily by leaving it oily and washing it when it gets out of hand, after afew months you will notice your hair doesnt produce as much oil as it usually does, of course though inbetween washes you can use a cheap dry shampoo to soak up all the oils and make it look cleaner, fresher and less oily. also be sure that you do not touch your hair often, because i find that when i touch my hair it gets too oily and i need to wash it again, so just dry not to touch it much, and if your hair is getting in the way just pull it back into a nice up-do (: hope this helped xxx .

use a clarifying shampoo at least twice a month. I literally use one every 3 days. I know it's not good for my hair but I do it anyways to get all of the oils out.

Try using some shampoo only at the roots of your hair and conditioner on the bottom 3/4ths. Never use conditioner near your roots, I used to and that was what caused my oily hair!

Dry shampoo helps a ton...My favorite and the best one I've tried is the Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo, its a really light spray that absorbs the oils in your hair to make it look cleaner and last a bit longer inbetween washes :)

baking soda is usually the number 1 ingredient in the dry shampoos. You can rub some into your scalp and brush your hair so none of it remains, it will absorb excess oil.

I have the same issue as Soriya P. I have to wash my hair everyday, there is no missing that, When I notice my hair is getting really oily I switch to trader joes tea tree shampoo and conditioner, its really cleansing and it has a great tingle and i think it just feels super clean after, I love it. esp. in the summer.

Why spend your money on products that you don't need? Instead for oily hair you can use baby powder. Just put some in your hair and then brush it :)

As far as treating oily hair, try giving yourself a scalp massage for 5 min while shampooing to help regulate your sebacious (oil) glands
