Is anyone else over hearing about this, or is it just me?

\o I am over it as well, hahahaha.
I have the original and I like it, but omg stop.
But we aren't helping either by making and replying to a thread, so...
*shrug* LOL!

hahaha true, but I just needed some support to make sure I wasn't crazy. I feel like it has been slipped into every video possible for the past couple of months.

I can understand where you're coming from, I think so many people use it because it's convenient. :P Plus, so many people have it, it makes viewers feel like they can replicate the look exactly instead of finding similar colors when replicating tutorials.
Super disappointed the price has been increased so much though. Now it's $50, wasn't it $40 originally?

This so much. We get it, its a great palette. Every time I start watching a "must have products" type video on YouTube, the first thing is always "NAKED PALETTE!!" or "PRIMER POTION". It's pre annoying. but Freddie is right, hatin' on Naked is still talking about it.

Mary my thoughts exactly :)

I get it the convenience of the product and the usefulness but I feel like I hear about it all the time and UD came out with #2 so we have another 6 months of hearing about it. lol.
I agree with Freddie as well, sorry for the rant I just needed some support

I'm definitely over it too... I've been trying to learn to like using NAKED2, and I feel like I keep convincing myself it's work appropriate, but I'm never happy with my appearance when I use it. I've given away my original NAKED, and it looks like this might be another item that goes to the bf's sister. =[

I'll agree with this. I have the original Naked palette and it's nice but it's not the last word in neutral palettes or anything. And I was bummed when I saw Naked2. Nothing spectacular or worth the hype, IMO.

I'm SO over it -_-
Audrey, the original used to be 48, so it only increased 2 dollars

No, the original was 44$.
It went to 48$ when they kept going out of stock like crazy and they replaced eyeliners with the brush.
Then it went up to 50$ for... well, I don't even know why.
So really, it increased by 6 dollars.
Which is a little too much for me.
Glad I bought it when it first released.

I have both of the naked palettes and they are great eye shadows with good pigmentation. I also love wtaching products "must have products" on youtube and they mention it on almost all of them, it doesnt bother me because they are actually worth buying. I guess its mentioned too much because there you can find a good quality pigmented eye shadows, on neutral colors all in one instead of buying a bunch. Ive been using my naked first for a long time and they still look like new and i wear it as my everyday look.
It gets annoying to mention too much but dont hate it cuz its a good addition to those who are building a nice collection of makeup

Is it worth it ? I wanted to get it, but still hesitant cause that's 50 bucks I could use towards something else. But I am looking for a good palette I can use on an everyday basis.

for me it is worth it. I use the nake one on a daily basis, The naked 2 has very similar colors but more matte colors, the naked one has more shimmery colors, they all looks gorgeous on and have from light to dark colors on them. The naked 2 comes with a double end brush which is decent brush and a super nice lip gloss, the first one just comes with one brush.
If you are looking for something cheaper ive heard about the Nude Tude pallette by TheBalm great things, Its a neutral color palette and super pigmented too. I cant tell you much about it myself cuz i am planning on buying it soon to try but you can search for it and give it a try if you like.

Thanks Mariee I'll definitely check it out. And i'd probably wear the more shimmery ones, I like the look of the silky shadows. Like mac's ? But its way expensive for one shadow, lol. :)

I dont own any MAC shadows but im dying for Cranberry color Everytime i save to buy mac i end up getting lots more products of other companies for a cheaper price lol. The only mac product i own is the 217 brush and i love it so i am buying more on a later time

Hhaha, I had a neutral brownish color called 'woodwinked' ahh my fave :) and it was silky, shimmery. That's why I was hoping to get a palette, with shadows like that. Haha, what products do you reccomend for cheaper prices ? Lol I want a brush from them I just have a foundation :/

It depends on what you like and looking for. For brushes a super good quality are real techniques and specially their stippling brush, that sells at ulta, then my favorite bronzer is ELF Duo bronzer which you can find at target or at their website, ELF studio Primer is great too and it feels very similar to smashbox. as for eye shadows, the new maybelline color tatoo are very good quality for cream eye shadows, the elf primer for the eye shadow is as good as urban decay one.
What exactly are you looking for maybe that can help me tell you more

i think the naked palette is SUPER hyped up, but at the same time i am in love with it!! i guess if it works on the majority everyone will talk about it until something better comes out

I think they're both boring. I never use the neutrals in other palettes, so I'm sure as shit not buying one that's all neutrals. bo-ring.

I agree with what Mindy said, it isn't the last word on neutral palettes. I am not hating on them, but I believe it was the hype built around them that made them into this "must have" item. They are for the most part good quality with most all being pigmented. But there are many brands both highend and drugstore that provide a wonderful neutral palettes as well.
And the price increase on the Naked just seems to be a way to get a little more money from costumers. If anything the first should lower. But that is just my opinion.

Totally don't think it's overrated or boring. I've had the first one for almost a year now, and I got the Naked2 the second I could. I've seen a lot of other neutral palettes and I've never been as impressed. The reason there are so many tutorials and we hear about it so much is because it's extremely popular and the more videos there are on it, the more viewers people will have because people want to know different looks they can do with it. I literally use both of mine every day, and I always find a lot of variety in the looks that I can create with them. I'm not saying they're the greatest things out there, but they are amazing and they're talked about all the time for a reason.
