I was thinking about just getting a tinted moisturiser , which is more the route I was going to take because I'm afraid that if I use foundation it will make my skin worse , age it early and make me look caked on . I need help !

Skin sounds like mine. I actually bounce between liquid foundation and mineral foundation. Mineral for those days when the acne witch decides to visit and liquid for those days when my skin is bump free. Both are made by Bobbi Brown. The key to keep your skin from reacting, providing you find a foundation that doesn't irritate your skin, is making sure your tools are clean and that you practice "less is better" routine. I recently started using an oil-free primer with my liquid foundation and another primer that is made for mineral foundations and so far so good. Its keeping the oilies at bay and I'm getting less visits from the acne witch.
