It has to be twenty dollars or less (preferably less), and you know, good quality... lol I'm just having such a hard time with my brushes lately! None of them seem to be performing as well as I wish they were. I just bought some new (pressed) eyeshadows, and my brushes hardly pick up anything! I know a lot of it has to do with eyeshadow bases, and I already know I LOVE Lime Crime base, so I'm buying that again, because I'm out. :P So yeah, I don't care if it's mac or elf, just suggest a good brush gals! Thanks!

Fluffy brushes, in my opinion, don't pack on shadow very well, unless we're talking the MAC 217. I've always just used them for blending.

I don't mean like a blending brush... Like, the brush would be more fluffy at the top, but still like the same shape as an eye shadow brush... The only one I've had good luck with is this discontinued Mary Kay brush. :P I just have a couple eye shadow brushes, but they're all squished together at the top... Like, flat. Like a concealer brush! But they're not concealer brushes... >.< So I just want one that's more dense but fluffy at the top.... Am I making any sense? haha

I suggest trying out the elf professional or studio... they are cheap but really nice. :)

Ahhh yes, makes much more sense (: Unfortunately it`s not under $20, but if I understand correctly, the MAC 227 is like, the god of what you are looking for. Otherwise I would agree with the ELF pro or studio line (not the essentials), or if you`re in Canada check out Quo`s line.

I think you're talking about a fluff brush. If you're in the US the Sonia Kashuk medium fluff is affordable: http://soniakashuk.com/sk-MTA_prod.php?sk=147
I always use the Sigma E55 http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/e55.htm
The MAC 213 is more than $20.

Fluff brush? Cute! Haha, thanks guys!
Dylan: That Mac 227 looks fantastic, but sadly, 30 dollars is a reach for me right now. But maybe in the future! Thanks!
Heather: I don't own any Sigma brushes quite yet, and nine dollars is totally affordable! ^.^ I think I might just end up buying that! Thanks so much for all of the input guys! I love when I learn something new, and learning the name of this kind of brush is very helpful, like, seriously! :D

Huh... Do you remember what it's called and if they even sell it anymore? I'll check the website though!

No problem! Good luck on your search! (:

I love my fluffy brush! I use it all the time, even though this comes in a set I only use the one (in the picture it's the one in the middle) I bought brushes and I still use this one for my eyes! It just does the job! Hope it's what you are looking for.

I love MAC 239 for this! but kinda pricy at $25. I've never used sigma brushes either, but the E55 Heather recommended looks to be pretty similar in size and shape... I'd say go for it! :) As far as MAC 227 goes... love the shape, but I personally found it too big to work with easily for this purpose.

Eco Tools has a really good eyeshadow brush, it's sold individually and I think it only costs about $5
Here's a link to the product: http://www.soap.com/p/ecotools-eye-shading-brush-64920?site=CI&utm_source=CSE&utm_medium=CPC_S&utm_campaign=Google&utm_content=pla&ci_sku=APT-012&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw=%7Bkeyword%7D

I would say the MAC 217 or it's Sigma equivalent. Fluffy brushes that are round or domed do not pack on color... but because the 217 is flat and fat/fluffy, it has a belly-side that can be used to pack on color. It's not the most effective at packing on colors, but it does have a dual-purpose, which makes the shape a cult-favorite amongst the most desirable brush shape to own.  =)

Oh, Soma, haha! I wasn't talking about blending brushes. I know you don't read the prior comments and things, so it's okay. I've figured out pretty much which brush I'm going to get. I think I'm going to go with the sigma one which is only nine dollars. :) Thanks for your input though. I'll keep that in mind for future purchases.

I would highly recommend Eco Tools! Their brushes are super soft. Also, if you have a Rite Aid in your area, they came out with a line of makeup brushes and they're awesome quality! I've had mine for a while now and they do not shed at all.

MAC 217 for building color. It also works well as a crease or blending brush. Love this brush...so many options :)
MAC 239 works well too but it's more on the "flat" side.
