I have been trying to get information about it but everywhere I go I can't find anything. I plan to only do makeup and Esthetics focus on skin/face and the courses at my school that are offered include makeup and color theory.
here is a link to the courses:

You don't need a license to do makeup, but if you wanna learn the basics then getting your esthetics license would be great plus it teaches you everything about skin/face and will not just limit you to being a make up artist say if you wanted to work for a skin care company or @ a dermatologist office. I went to beauty school for hair and my sister went for esthetician. Just know that if you want to focus strictly on makeup that you should just find some makeup classes or a makeup school because esthetician classes are not fully focused on just makeup.

I work at MAC without any sort of license, so you're good.

What others have said, no license is needed for makeup. That said, it never hurts to be educated! Many schools will let you enroll in single classes rather than a full program.

The only thing you'll need a license for to do makeup is if you work in a salon or spa. And an esthetician's license is good enough for that. Many states it is required that you have a license even to freelance and do your own thing, however, there's no real way to regulate that, so people get by without it. Even still, an esthetician's license would suffice for that as well.

Another reason to have a license - many shows (like Cosmoprof) require you to be a professionally licensed. Keep in mind ALL states require a person to have a BUSINESS license with the state and in your local municipality. The BUSINESS license is NOT the same as a professional license. Think of it this way - a doctor has a (pro) medical license, a state license and a local license to practice in his or her town.
An esthetician's license will help you shop at certain stores that require pro licenses. Some makeup companies do not require you to have a pro license just some proof you're a real MUT but some DO require a pro license. It really depends on where you buy your stuff.

An esthi license will also help set you apart from others when you go to apply for a job at, say, a cosmetics counter for example.

If you want to go into film and tv, it is always better to have your license, especially if they are union film/tv shows that are being shot.

It's always good to get a qualification, but you technically don't need a license to do freelance makeup - you'll find you will learn a lot more by obtaining a certificate anyway.

you shouldn't need a mua license if you got a esthetican license. they should have covered makeup in your training which qualifies you to do makeup. I would suggest attending workshops to futher your education since more esthetician courses really don't go over makeup artistry in much detail...sadly.
