Hello,

Have any of you out there had eyelash extensions? I am wondering bc I am getting mine done on Saturday and I wanted to know if anyone has any advice on how to prepare your eyes or lashes for the extensions. Also if I could get any tips on how to maintain them and what to expect while getting them done :D My eyelashes are... oh I would say medium length and they are super straight, meaning that they don't stay curled even after using an eyelash curler.

hey,
I have not personally had them done, and since this post was a week old i might be to late to answer any questions. Just be careful I work at a salon and have seen 4 different people come in that had the extensions done each different places and they all lost their own lashes when they came off. Just be careful and make sure you go somewhere where they do them often and have been doing it for quite a while. good luck hun

Ever considered using Latisse?? :) I just did a review on how amazing it's been for me and am actually doing a giveaway with it too :) check out my yt channel for the video :) I hear extensions can be expensive and I agree with Jenna, you definitely have to be careful when you choose the place to have them done at. I've heard horror stories of girls losing their lashes with the extensions... with Latisse they just go back to your normal length :)

I got my lashes done once & it lasted about 2 weeks. Since I got them done on a whim I did nothing to prepare my lashes. But the lady made sure I wiped all excess makeup off my eyes before she started. At first it was a very uncomfortable feeling since the person doing them has to be so close to your eyes with tweezers & you can't really blink. But I got use to it. Over the 2 week span some of the lashes started to fall out as the lady said would be expected.

When the trend first came out a few years ago I use to do them all the time. I spent about $120 every two weeks (that was cheap back then not sure what the prices are like now). And I came in at least twice a week for my free touch up if one fell out and because I was so anal about having perfectly full and long lashes...lol. Is it worth it... I want to say yes but the truth is I can get the same effect from putting on individual eyelashes which in my opinion is cheaper and safer. Eyelash extensions can cause you to lose a few of your own so be careful and make sure the place your going is a professional place and not some little spot at the mall...hehe

My Mom had hers done for a few years. It loos great but the maintenance is a killer. She had to go back to get them fixed every few weeks or so. I suggest keeping the eye make-up to a minimum 'cos sometimes they'll make your lashes look dirty. And who wants gross looking lashes? Bleargh.

I was just wondering about eye last extensions, looks like they are not worth the $$$.

Eye lash extensions are awesome! I am actually a Certified Eye Lash Extension Specialist and I can tell you that if you go to someone who has been trained properly and has experience you will love your new lashes. Your natural lashes shed everyday...1 to 4 actually. Eye lash extensions that are applied properly do not damage your natural lashes, you will just notice the shedding because your lashes are now amazingly long! You SHOULD only have to get a fill every 3 to 5 weeks, so if in two weeks all of your lashes are gone...go somewhere else. They are probably using cheap or old glue.
