I thought I would share my experience of how I got teal hair, and what products I used to get there.
First of all, I am a student at a barbering college so all the products I used were professional salon products.
I DO NOT recommend trying to bleach and color your hair at home. Please leave it to us professionals. Your hair is important to you, otherwise you wouldn't care what color it is.
The first thing I did was section off the amount of hair that I wanted to be my peak-a-boo. Mine is about a 4inch by 4 inch section of hair on the left side of my head.
Second, choose your bleach and developer strength(again, please leave this to professionals) I used 40 volume Schwarzkopf bleach. I processed for about 25 minutes before my hair got to the desired level.
Third, pick your color! I used the Tresse Extremers party color in Teal for my peak-a-boo. I would recommend this brand of color to anyone. Their colors are bright and long lasting. Well, as long lasting as any party color. ;) The bottle says to process 30min but I let it sit for 45. (this will not damage the hair.)
Then I rinsed in ICE cold water, shampooed and conditioned with Kenra Color Maintenance. I used 'Its a 10' Miracle leave in conditioner with Keratin to help repair my hair from the bleach I used.
And thats how I got teal hair! :) Thanks for reading and I'm open to questions as well!
