Hey girls, im obsessing over lipsticks right now, specifically red and plums and burgundies. Actually I'm in pursuit of the perfect red lipstick with blue undertones... Do you know of any? Please please let me know ;)

OCC's lip tar in Stalker has strong blue undertones as does MAC's Ruby Woo and Wet n Wild's Stoplight Red. If you want a deeper red with blue undertones the one I can think of is MAC's Media. :D

I agree with Alexis' suggestions, and also try out MAC Russian Red! It is my go-to red with blue undertones.

Thank you girls... I´m in a red lip phase now LOL and want to wear red or burgundy or bright pink lips like 4 times a week. You know what I´ve noticed lately? Everybody looks at me in a weird way when Im wearing red, orange or bright pink lips... like they are not used to. I just wear lipstick, mascara and very little black eyeliner. I think I look so lively because the color just make my white face like pop, you know? but people look at me weird. I should post some pics, maybe I´m delusional and think I look good when in reality I look like a clown or something LOL

Haha Bella- I get the same reactions too. It's amazing how many people aren't used to girls wearing bold lipstick! Quite humorous, actually. And especially since I live in a small beach town- it's practically scandalous!

Bella I get that too. I doubt the stares are from people thinking you look clownish. Bold lips are just eye catching, and since they take a good amount of confidence to wear them people stare because it's so alluring and especially with the contrast of your skin it makes sense that you have drawn some attention. :)

Russian Red used to be my favourite - but since trying NARS dragon girl (velvet matte lip pencil), I just about can't stand russian red. It's too thick and ALWAYS bleeds on me, even if I use a reverse lip liner.
It's my perfect blue toned red. :) Get someone in Sephora to try it on you.
And if you're a russian red lover like I was too - also go try Dragon Girl!! :D

There's an online company, raved about by Punkchyaz and a few other beauty gurus and I'm a follower of them aswell (eagerly awaiting to order some lippies soon). Called Rockalilly and they have this beautiful red lipstick with blue undertones, :)

I agree with Anneka, Dragon Girl by Nars is hands down the best blue red. I have 26 red lipsticks and that one is my go to...texture is MUCH better than all MAC classics

Chanel Paris is is a beautiful red with blue undertone. Similar to their New York shade which was discontinued.

Loreal HIP in Turbulent... it's amazing! It is also very versatile... one can put it on lightly for a nice shade of pink... or put more on for a very deep red! It is the only red I can pull off! XOXO

You can never have enough red lipsticks (or lipstick in general!). I am on both the MAC and the NARS team. Both are awesome--I think it's just about your preference and what your skin likes!

I have two i always go to mac's russian red and maybeline has one called screamer.
Eventhough i have a brunch of lipsticks in red, i always tendt to go over to these two.

chanel rouge allure laque in dragon is the perfect red with blue undertones. also, kat von d's adora is another amazing blue under tone red with a metallic-like finish. i call it the definitive rockstar red! it's just a little drying though. but you just need to moisturize your lips before hand and you should be party-ready! :)
