Hi everyone!

What are your fave Korean makeup brands, if you do use any?

I'm currently rather obsessed with Korean makeup...and although they tend to have more shimmery colors when it comes to eyeshadow and blushes, they've got amazing packaging that's just too cute to pass up.

I only bought some lashes that said they were from Korea, I ordered them on amazon.com and they were pretty inexpensive and of good quality. What have you used?

Nice! I've tried The Face Shop, Skinfood, Holika Holika, Elianto, Etude House...and they have been rather interesting. All their nail polishes are stellar, though. And one thing's for sure - their packaging is gorge!

Vivian I am totally obsessed too! Which brands are you loving at the moment?

I've fallen in-love with Holika Holika - they've got great waterproof mascaras, bronzers and highlighters. The packaging is ultra cute too - with a magical/witch theme across everything. I also really rate their nail polishes, now I believe they cost around 2000won (which is around $2US). They have more of a plastic texture when applied, and don't budge. On the quiet, I actually prefer it to OPI...

Also a huge fan of the Skin 79 BB creams - pretty much the whole range - minus the shimmer versions. As you said, they do love their shimmers products in Korea.

What else would you recommend trying?

I'm not going to lie but I'm a little jealous that you guys are able to try these brands! I would probably have to order them online.

Vivian:
I'm going to start researching where I can find these things because I'm so intrigued
with what you are telling me!

Elizabeth:
If you say their nailpolishes are $2 and better than OPI, I NEED to find these nail polishes! Hahaha :)

I've used Missha, The Face Shop... but still looking to try more. Have yet to find a brand I'm super in love with.

@Elizabeth - Gosh, too many! I love Holika Holika's egg soaps. The Face Shop has really cheap and good nail polish. Their masks are rather fun to use. And I have their HD BB cream, which would have been better if it had more shades to choose from. A friend told me the Etude House eye primer rivals UDPP and TFSI, but at a fraction of the prices of both! You can try that if you can get your hands on it. Omg, there's just too much lol!

@Binks Notice how Koreans seem to have awesome skin most of the time? I credit it to kimchi and their cold weather, but I have a feeling their skincare products helped a lot too. I have not seen a Korean with bad skin, ever. Apparently Laneige is one of their higher end skincare/makeup brands. I've yet to try that coz it is a bit pricy over in Singapore.

I know! AMAZING SKIN, it always looks sooooooo soft and kind of doll like *looks mesmerized*...hahaha ;) Unfortunately , I can't say the same for my skin but I definitely will put Laneige on my list of things I want! If that can help my skin, I'm willing to try it! Thanks!

I am going to check out these Korean brands stat. I am Korean and I didn't know of any of these. Bad Korean, I am guilty....

But seriously, Koreans do have great skin. I don't have to do anything special to it.. and I rarely break out. Everyone is always telling me how soft my skin is too.

I've only used Missha, Face Shop, Etude House, Tony Moly. Tony Moly so far is my favorite with its awesome packaging and good products. I do like Missha BB cream and almost all the nail polishes I've tried have been great as well!

I had an Edtude House lip gloss years ago, it was so pretty, I miss it some times. I'm always on the look out for it. But yeah, gorgeous packaging as well. :D

I am obsessed and probably 80% switched to Korean make up at the moment. I mainly use Etude House, Innisfree, Skinfood, The Face Shop, Holika Holika and Lioele. I have almost everything make up wise apart from eyeshadows (I am Sleek girl forever) and nail varnish as I never wear any. BB Creams from Korean brands are best around, in my opinion and I own pretty big collection.
I admire how they can create amazing products using natural ingredients I would have never thought could be use this way and are cruelty free which is very important to me. Packaging is gorgeous and products are very good quality, just as Korean skincare, which I also use.
