I was playing with my makeup today and I said, why not mix this blue pencil and red eyeshadow. I wanted to see what shade of purple I'll get.

I was pleased with the result. I've been looking for quite a long while a chartreuse color with no luck. So after a while I decided to mix a moss green and bright yellow (the yellow isn't that much pigmented). The color was a gorgeous chartreuse when highlighted but still a bit moss green.

Then later on I remember even prettier version, I'll say look for a bright light green pencil or e/s and a bright yellow e/s. I use the Milani infinite liner in Eternal, great product btw.

So my tip is to just go in your collection and try mixing different colors. Use a blue base and go over it with a pink, red, or even orange. You never know what shades you might discover. And use the color wheel as a guide.

Sorry for the long post again.

Have a wonderful day or night :)

It is pretty fun seeing what colours you get. I used to love using a blue base then applying purple on top and I would get a beautiful bluish purple.

Yes, I love it too. it's great for of us that doesn't have big collections too.

This is my absolute favorite thing about playing with makeup. I don't think many people understand the versatility of makeup if you play and layer things on top of each other. Its so fun to play with colors, textures, mediums and I love that you do Isha!

Thank you Jasmine. It's something I love to do, always trying to find dupes also :)

Yes I love layering colors! Duo-chrome shades are the best. They are so versatile and I love how something like a gold shadow turns green just by putting it over a black base. Or a white shadow can turn purple or blue. I remember my first duochrome shade was Fishnet by Urban decay and I blended it in my crease and it turned a lovely blue shade over the black on my lid and faded into the purple that it is in the pan. Magic! haha.

Yes Duo-chrome are my favorites too. The fishnet shadow is very interesting, I love it.
I have something similar, only it white on the pan and when blended on the skin it becomes a silvery purple and on a black base the silvery purple is even more noticeable almost like a strong lilac.

Makeup is magic :)

I love doing this!
