Co-wash? You mean use a conditioner with a shampoo at the same time? If that's the case I think unless it's actually a 2-in-1 shampoo it's a waste of time and product especially if you condition your hair after. I can understand if your hair tangles easily while washing but still I think it's a waste of product.

I co-wash my hair. It's also called no-poo, hehe! Because I almost always have bright colours in my hair I prefer not to use shampoo and it feels less harsh on my chemically treated hair. I just wash my hair with conditioner instead of using shampoo & conditioner. The only time I shampoo my hair is right before I touch my colour up again (once a month). As long as I use styling products that easily rinse out, my hair always rinses clean.
Right now I am using Kevin Murphy Leave In Luxury conditioner/rinse and Aveda's Shampure Conditioner.

I had never heard of this. I know it would never work for my greasemonkey hair lol but for dried or processed it would probably be wonderful!

I co-wash once a week between regularly washing my hair with shampoo. Just like Quiana, said it lightly cleanses your hair & scalp without stripping it & it brings moisture back to your hair.
