Deep conditioning is putting a conditioner on your hair, whether it be from the store, or your own concoction, and putting it on your hair. Anywhere from an hour+ there are many ways to DC such as putting the conditioner on and going about your day. Putting a shower cap on and sitting under a dryer. A lot of women do this if they have things to do during the day.
I deep condition twice a month, thats all my hair needs right now. Im sure once it gets longer I'll need it more. Its time consuming because I dedicate a full day to it.

I "deep condition" at least once a week... sometimes more. I define deep conditioning in terms of a measurement of time and in the thickness/heaviness of the product. So for example: My KPak conditioner is not deep conditioning when I apply it in the shower and rinse it out two minutes later... but if I add some coconut and olive oil to it and leave it in my hair for 20 minutes, then it is. Does that make sense???

Deep conditioning is when you apply condition to your hair for an extended period of time. I "deep condition" once a month that's all my hair needs right now. But I deep condition for an 1-3hours. Hope this helps.
