am i the only one that counts down to the best time of year to decorate your nails? in my opinion, october-april is like open freaking season for nail art. halloween, christmas (or your respective holiday<3), new years (an excuse for anything gold & goudy imo), valentines, st patricks day, easter.
i personally use the whole month as an excuse to paint my nails. i *just* did my nails lastnight, or else i wouldn't be typing this right now- i'd be doing a fresh mani! haha. i'm already coming up with color combos (i'm big on the accent nail), plus crackle + halloween is going to be fun! i bought some ghoulish glow tonight so i'm super excited to play with that as well.
is there anyone else out there like me? i wanted to show you guys what colors i'll be wearing on my nails for the next month & maybe give you guys some color ideas. tell me your favorite halloween time nail polishes! do you go full out like me & do the holiday theme all month or just around that holiday? are you traditional in wearing lots of orange & black on your nails or do you branch out into potion purples & slime greens?! TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME!

which green binks? the china glaze is electric pineapple. the pure ice lost it's sticker on the bottom, but i bought it last year around halloween. it should be called slime!
oh i do nail art year round too dylan, i just love that i have themes (like halloween) to go off of, instead of racking my brain trying to think of something new.
yay for mail terra! i'm curious to know if your set came with an orange polish? i don't recall seeing one on any blogs with previews of the collections, buuuut they had some at my sallys the other day so i was curious! (not BAM orange but i think it was a darker shimmery orange)

I love October and the fall/winter for a million reasons! The weather, holidays, seasonal foods, etc. and above all else the makeup and nails! I love, love, love the colors!!!

i find the pure ice brand at walmart. however, i found the pure ice crackle at my local walgreens, but i've never seen them sell the regular polishes.

I love October! Nothing to do with the fact my birthday is this month of course. I much more into nails this autumn than last year, and I'm loving wearing dark shades, especially plums and purples. I did buy Orange Marmalade by China Glaze recently so think I'll be putting a black crackle on top of that for Hallowe'en!

I love October for Halloween, its my favorite time of year! I personally go for more purples, lime green, oranges and blacks during October. I also experiment with new techniques when they come out. Nothing in particular, but my manicure is definitely more festive!

yes angie! i want to do a traditional orange & black mani with crackle! i'd just like to find an orange crackle, so i can do the reverse for an accent nail! & i'm loving dark colors as well! when i pulled CG's naughty & nice out of my collection the other night, it went straight on my toes! ^_^
@terra; after a bit of reading on the interneting, i'm just going to guess they put it out to fill the display or something. i meant to go to sallys again & check but totally forgot today! i'm off to write "go to sallys" on my forehead...
@binks; they're great! i hope they were cheap for you (they're $2 here)! some of their shades are incredible, like french kiss (a royal blue creme), goes on so smooth & opaque with two coats! i'd compare the formula of that color to a CG creme. definitely keep your eyes peeled at walmart for new products, especially if they're going to be getting stuff in! nouveaucheap.blogspot.com is a great place to find info on limited edition stuff...i want to say some upcoming wet n wild palettes are supposed to be limited edition at walmart only (don't quote me on it!). plus...walmart is pretty much the bomb diggity! (;
jasmine, i want to try a halloween mani using gauze! i know there were a few tutorials using it last year, but with all the crackles & different top coats that are out, i want to experiment! :O
here's my first halloween mani. really quick one i did lastnight because i had to go to bed, so i just did something basic but with flare. they ended up getting a bit matte, but i'm re-topcoating tomorrow. (story of my life; getting inspired to do my nails after 1am)

i love october! my favorite colors to use are nice blues especially the wet'nwild blue moon. i also love black nails and sea green and pale greens and pale colors also browns and pastel red/oranges (:

elisabeth, i have never heard of blue moon but i googled it & :O !!! i wrote it on my drugstore list! & you also made me think of how i need a sea green color. & use loots of browns in fall! avon's deluxe chocolate is gorgeous!

terra; the color i was talking about was cross iron 360. it was in the actual CG display (like printed on it) so it was supposed to be there, but after googling, i find it's from the ski winter 2007 collection. the girl said it was LE so i was sort of sad to see it's from a previous collection, but the swatches i see are AMAZING so i'm not too upset i bought it!
