Which brand do you prefer when buying make-up brushes? Tell me your most favorite to least favorite / Love and hate / Will buy again and will not buy again.

I want to buy a brush set and I was going to order the Sigma ones online, but I'm not willing to wait the 6-20 business days, lol.

Thanks (:

I LOVE Mac brushes, they are great, they last a long time and even though they're expensive (unless you buy them as single brushes, or as a set) they are worth the investment. I have my 217 brush for like 3 years and it's still like new! Unlike other brushes I've bought.

Honestly, it depends on how much you're willing to spend. Some cheap but quality brushes are from "Real Techniques" brushes which are great and I LOVE Ecotools!! I think those are the best cheapest brushes (cost wise) that are of great quality! Sonia Kashuk also has a good selection of brushes.

Sigma, I've heard ARE AMAZING. If you get the opportunity to get them, I think they will be worth it and they aren't as expensive as MAC but are up the same alley quality-wise.

i love my mac brushes, but i would love to try out sigma brushes soon.

my must have brushes from mac would have to be the 217, 224, 109, 129, and 188 brushes. i pretty much use about half those brushes every single day. when i travel, i make sure these brushes are with me at all time.

I love Sigma brushes! They are really good quality and are very durable. I have two remaining MAC brushes from my original small collection of them, and I quit purchasing MAC brushes after I discovered Sigma's Collection about a year and a half ago. The quality is equal in my opinion, and Sigma's pricing cannot be beat.

Louis Young has definitely made an impression on me with the LY34 and I am considering splurging on his other brushes since I had such good results with my first purchase.

I also have heard Hakuhodo brushes are superior quality, but I know they are VERY expensive, and I don't have the stomach to spend 80 dollars on a single brush.

Just some ideas!

I have to say I love my Sigma brushes as well! I have had them for almost a year now and they are hold up as well as the day I received them in the mail. nThe price for the quality of brush makes them super awesome. I have to say I am also a fan of the Sonya Kashuk collection. Her brushed are really affordable and hold up well too. I have several of her brushes and use a combination of then when applying my makeup! If you are on youtube I suggest seeing if anyone has a giveaway for the Sigma brushes

Hakuhodo, MAC, Louise Young, Sigma's synthetic face kit, Ecotools, Sephora, Essence of Beauty and Elf's studio line are amongst my favorites. Real Techniques have a few stand outs as well.

Honestly, I dislike buying brush sets, but that's just me. If I had to pick top 3 then I would have to say:

Hakuhodo, Louise Young, MAC. Sigma F80 for sure. Ecotools bronzing brush and angled liner brush... ELF 11 pc. Studio brush set if you're really looking for a set to start with, but wait for a 50% sale.

I like elf brushes the studio line, they are really great. Some of the one dollar brushes are kinda good to! Haven't tried the bambo/mineral once. I know Mac have awzume brushes, but they can be very expensive tough. I have some make up store and I think they are really good to! But I also have some from like ebay, and they pretty much suck... I donnu if this helped but ... I would bet on the sigma brushes even tough it might take a moonth you will have really great brushes for a long time, maybe the wait is worth it? ;)

good luck <3

I love Sigma brushes and EcoTools brushes too!!
I have made post on the EcoTools and will make one on my Sigma brush soon!

follow my blog www.beautyndtheblog.com

I love Elf, Sigma and Crown, I bought some Royal and Langnickel brushes which were awful, will never try those again.

I love quite a few of the brushes from Coastal Scents (which are Crown brushes)...the synthetic ones are ridiculously soft! Sigma is also a great choice as well! I have never tried ELF brushes, but I've heard good things about them as well.

I own several MAC brushes and I do love them, but they tend to be a bit on the expensive side. I own brushes from Sigma, Crown, ELF, etc, and love them as well! They are definitely a lot more inexpensive than MAC and in my opinion work just as well.

Hey everyone, thank you for your comments. I really appreciate it ^_^ There seems to be a trend for brushes. I will look into all of them. <3

I love my E.L.F. eyeliner brush- perfect and Mac's 168 contouring brush. I did not like the E.L.F. contouring brush, it was to harsh on my face.

I need to check the eco tools, but my favs are crown brushes, they are quite well made.
durable and cheap, and for the price I spent, I gotta say it is money well spent....
I had tryed elf brushes and they aren't the greatest, I don't hate them, but certently I don't luv them either.
BTW never buy brushes from ebay learned it the hard way :-/
and I want to try the real techniques brushes they seem really nice, that's gonna be my next new buy from ulta :)

Brushes-my favorite topic.

My all-time favorite brush is the MAC 226, its a tapered crease/blending brush. I also love the Sigma E45, which is even more tapered and works really well with my small eyes. Sonia Kashuk makes a great blending brush, too! MAC 217's and the Sigma version of the same brush is next, love them as well.

Fan brushes are what I use most to apply blush and bronzer, even highlighter. I love loading up a fluffy fan brush with all three, then blending them out. I even like the ELF fan brush, believe it or not. Its kinda "cheapie" and flimsy, but when I wear only bronzer or blush it does a great job.

I don't really use a brush to apply BB Cream or foundation anymore. I find that my Beauty Blender works best, and I either use it for BB Cream or airbrush. So I am no expert in this category.

For eyeliner, I love using the brush that came with my Maybelline gel liner. I have MAC and Sigma angled brushes and the Sonia Kashuk bent eyeliner brush, but I keep going back to that free Maybelline one. It gives me the most precise line. I have four of them now haha

I am still looking for the perfect lip and concealer brushes.

I also like the Eco Tools brushes, but to be honest they break on me a lot. Its better to purchase one expensive brush that I know will last, I think. I am cheap, so I keep gluing mine back together! LOL

I love all my Mac make up brushes. They last for a really long time. I like Eco Tools brushes too they are really soft.
