@Ashley H. I sometimes have stuff playing on my screen when I get ready as well. I've been watching a lot of QI and cartoons from the 90's like "Darkwing Duck", "Ducktales, and "Rescue Rangers". I know. Such discerning taste. I balance it all out with copious amounts of QI off of YouTube. Hah.

And am I the only one who listens to stand-up to start the day off on a positive note? I've been known to put on some Eddie Izzard while I get ready in the mornings as well. It's not music but, hey, it's audio, right?

@Jessica S. That's not at all strange! I started listening to bands like Zeppelin, Queen, The Beatles, and The Police, when I was still a kid. I discovered BB King and started getting into the blues when I was in my teens. The joys of having music-loving parents. I just never realised how odd my musical tastes were with folks my own age until I brought my CD album to a party one day and compared its contents with those of my friends'.
And hey! Deftones! Haven't listened to them in a while. *scurryingawaytolookfortheCDs*
