Hey guys, so I am really curious, do you apply your eye makeup prior to your face makeup which one first and why?, I find myself doing both but i prefer eyes before face so my hands don;t rub product off

I like to do my eye make-up first because I find that I can just go back and correct any mistakes that I might of made. I always get gel liner smudged all over the place. Shaky hands! lol

I usually apply my moisturizer first and while it gets absorbed I apply my eye makeup. If I end up having any eyeshadow fall out, I'm able to wipe it all off before applying my face makeup.

Lately I've been applying my moisturizer, and while it soaks into my skin I'll do my eye makeup then apply my foundation, but I wait to do my eyeliner after I've applied my concealer.

I do both...but i think I do my face first than my eyes! I think it's because I cleanse my face and add a moisturizer and a primer ...my face feels so silky and soft that adding a foundation afterwards make the blending easy....

I always do my eyes first. I put a little concealer under my eyes so I can get it close to the lash line before applying liner or shadow under my eyes. This is especially true if I work with something messy like a pigment.

I always do my eyes first...I put moisturizer on my face and neck, and while it sets in I apply my eye makeup. :) I do my eye makeup first because that is usually what I put my main focus on...and it takes longer than my face makeup.

I apply my eye makeup first so I can easily remove shadow fallout from my cheeks. Then I apply my face makeup or de-shiner.

If I will be going to do a light/daytime eye makeup look, I do my face first.
If I am going for a dramatic/smokey, I do eyes first then face - this way is save time for clean-ups under my eye area, an I can have a clean base for my foundation/concealer just in case there would be pigment fall-out.

I usually do my face first. But i think im going to start off doing my eyes first. Because everytime i use MAC eyeshadow, it falls out on my face, then when i wipe it, i looks like i have a bruise & thats not cool. So i really think doing the eye first is better.

Ive always done my face first because im so clumsy with mascara..even after about 15 years of using it I always manage to scuff my lashes with my hands or something which makes it end up either throwing my lashes out of shape or just smudging my lid...however...some of you girls have a good point...if you d oyour eyes first then at least you can wipe off any mistakes before you apply face product...that way you wont have to retouch any foundation.
All the bestest! x

I guess it depends on the eye makeup I'll be going for the day. If it guarantees plenty of fallouts, I'll apply foundation later so correcting any mistakes would be easier

Like a few others, I usually put my moisturizer and primer first. Then do my eyebrows (shading them in), then my eyes. Then I do my face. Concealer first, foundation second, blush/bronzer/etc. next (optional), then my last step is setting everything with powder.

Depends: If I am doing heavy eye make up, ie dark colors I will apply eye make up first so I can clean up any excess fall outs, otherwise with shimmers and light colors, I'll do face make up first and prefer to do the eyes after because the fall outs looks good when it's shimmery or light color shadows.
