I know Kryolan sells eyeshadow that glows under a black light, but does anyone else sell any?

Yes! Ugh... blanking out on the companies. The only one that I can remember off the top of my head is Wolfe Face Art & FX.

@ yasmin k, That would be perfect, except i would want a palate instead of individuals so that I could get the feel of them better before I invert too much.

@ tamara Those shadows look amazing. Have you ever used them?

Does anyone know what determines if a shadow will glow under a black light? Do they just have to be a neon (vibrant) color or do they have to actually have something else in them? I am not sure of the physics/chemistry of neon/blacklight stuff.

If it is just that it hast to be a neon(vibrant) color then xsparkage might have found something

however if there is something else that has to be done then this might not be what I want.

Some colours are more inclined to reflect blacklight than others, but many have a particular additive to boost the effect. And no, I've never ordered from Pure Luxe.. not yet anyway. ;]

Rachel, have you tried Kryolan? I've been wanting to get the Neon Aquacolor Palette for a long time now and hope its good. I'm not sure if eyeshadows need something else in them to glow under blacklight or not, so I'm going to test all my eyeshadows under my blacklight tonight and we'll see if any of my regular eyeshadow glow!

I have never tried Kryolan, I really want to. My birthday is in August and people are asking what I want and I am trying to get a list together. Eyeshadow that glows under a blacklight is on the list and I was trying to figure out which one works the best so I can make my list.

Def lmk what you find with the regular shadows. My blacklight is still at my apartment, else I would check with you (I am home from college for the summer).

Sure enough talc is the second ingredient on the list for the Sleek palate, and it is not "exempt from certification," I am not sure that other ingredients are not allowed, I think they just have to be approved before use. Apparently other countries ie Germany and the UK have approved them so I figure they should be safe for us.

It would be interesting to see how the Luxe shadows photograph on someone's eye. They might come out a little strange depending on the lighting. They are pretty tempting though.

I still have a lot of research to do though before I create the birthday list.

Thanks for the information Mandy!!! I'm just starting to check the ingredients on things I buy...food, makeup, everything! It's easy to get excited about something and then forget to check the ingredients...but I try to remember that just because it can be *sold* DOES NOT mean it's safe, unfortunately =(

Anyways I looked at all my makeup under a blacklight last night and nothing glowed! Boo, I thought my white shadows would glow at the very least but nothing!

I did however discover a new nail polish the glowed under the blacklight...Zoya's Charisma! :)

Would using an eyeshadow primer before applying a UV eyeshadow keep the shadow from glowing in blacklight?
