Hey there!
Just about to do a HUGE make up haul at Sephora. I'm looking for a new foundation/concealer etc routine!
I've done a lot of research of both Smashbox and Make Up Forever, including what their product contains, and how it's supposed* to feel against your face. Etc.
But I had one problem! All of my research was from their company alone! I wanted to hear real reviews from people that purchased their products with their good money.
So, TELL ME:
Smashbox High Definition Healthy FX Foundation VS Make Up Forever HD Foundation ??
Thanks y'all! I hope to hear from you soon.

I'm a huge fan of both of these brands. They both have incredible products. But when it comes to those two foundations, I'd say MUF HD all the way!

MUFE HD; it's a kit staple!

^I agree w/ the MUFE HD foundation... I could be cheesy and say it's my "HG" - but I'm going to kick it up a notch and call it my "Unicorn Tears"... just because I went on a crazy rampage looking for the right foundation, and MUFE HD looks fantastic in person and in photos.
A great 3rd party resource for reviews is MakeUpAlley.com - but Beautylish is growing so quickly, their review section is starting to become a great resource as well! [I wish I could just import/link all of my MUA reviews to this site too...] =(
I'm not too much of a fan of Smashbox products because their primer is too silicone-y, and it doesn't react well w/ my skin. The great thing about Sephora is that you can stock up on loads of samples if you're willing to test out the product before committing. =)
Just a tip though: MUFE works BEST w/ other MUFE products. I tried mixing and matching w/ Smashbox's primer as a foundation and it didn't stick well together. I was about to pass up MUFE HD until the sales associate told me that MUFE plays well with it's own product line, but not too much others. I tried their green photofinish primer, and OMG - it worked wonders! It cancelled out all the redness on my face, did not feel heavy, and held up to my 8+ hr. work days. =)

aww I love youuuu guys.
I went to Sephora and I was told all the same things as Soma S.
-I feel like we had the same dilemma! I was going to purchase the Smashbox primer and Make Up Forever Foundation together, but the Sales Associate told me against it.
Thanks for all your help ladies! And I'll follow up with what I eventually go with. ha <3

That's good to know; I never use primer because my dry skin does not need it, but that's great to know for other skin types!

MUFE and Smashbox are sister companies. Both companies products are made in the SAME building! LOL Since you're shopping at Sephora just get samples.

Both companies are great! So I agree with Yasmin, you should just get samples from both and see if you like one more than the other.

MUFE has more shades than smashbox and I had the smashbox and it can be more on the pinky side which didn't work.
