If so, how do you prevent this from happening?
No one likes the 'orange-face' look.

I have that happen to me, I forget what brand it is, but yes it oxidizes. There really isn't much you can do to prevent it, it's the formula. I'd try a different brand. I know, it sucks, but you can't change the formula lol.

I think you're only screwed if you wear the lightest shade (unless you have a white foundation, obviously). If you don't wear the lightest shade, go one shade lighter. :)

idk, i think that when you put your foundation on you want it to match your face right away, not have to wait until it oxidizes. i have olive skin so i range in the warm or neutral beiges and it happens with all colors, they all turn "orangey". But you have two suggestions now!

I wear MAC and mine tends to but for some reason I get more compliments when it does. I have combination skin so I don't mind as much but for oily skin that could be s problem

Try setting it with a lighter powder? That may help.

I never have that problem but if you're worried about it maybe add a color corrector to the foundation before you apply the foundation to your face.

Armani and dior, in my opinion has the best foundation. i have a yellow under tone and i found these two products to be the best.i would rather Armani over dior. they are pricey. i would suggest to go and have a trial before buying so that you can see how your skin reacts. i have found mac foundation to cake up, look thick, oliy and it makes my skin look red orange, also it wears off fast. this is just my personal experience

All of my foundation get a little darker once I have applied it and let it set. I like when this happens. It looks more natural to me.

Yeah I want to know why foundations oxidize

The oils in your skin cause the foundation to oxidized. Try blotting your skin shortly after you apply your facial moisturizer prior to foundation application. Wait a few minutes and then apply your foundation then wait another few and blot again prior to setting powder application. Sometimes even primers can cause foundation to oxidize as well. Its all one big chemistry game.

Hmm I have oily tzone so I fall into the normal/combination skin, I find that foundations I have from the following oxidise badly on me:
Revlon colorstay- drugstore
Marykay matte foundation
Black up matte foundation
Lancôme teint idole
Illamasqua (I have a sample in skin base 10, mere looking at it I could tell it's too dark for me before applying it.)
The following brand so far don't oxidise
Nars luminous weightless foundation
Mac ( nc45 but I find am a little bit pale or its looks ashy on me)
I really want to try Estée Lauder but seems to be struggling to find my shade(Amber honey too orangey/ toffee too light/ashy.)
I prime mostly with Nars pore refining primer and smash box primer water and Mac oil control.
Can anyone recommend a setting powder other than (foundation powders) I have the hd nix powder but it gives flashbacks. Thanks
