At the end of March i did the Diorà Keratherapy Natural Renewal (a BKT without formaldehyde) on my 4b natural hair. I followed their instructions and... It did nothing. My hair are a little more soft when blowdried AND flatironed but they're still puffy, very easy to reverse to curly to just a little sweat, not shiny a bit... A failure. I even wrote to Diorà asking if I did anything wrong, they first replied telling me they didn't get what was the problem (!!!) and when I explained myself better they stopped answering!!! (many compliments)
The only reason I'm flatironing my hair now is because BKT is known to protect your hair. But what if it didn't work for me and I start loosing my hair lenght?
Yesterday I HAD to redo it. I washed my hair twice a month (ewww) so the treatment should have lasted longer, but it didn't. I had all my hair curly near the head, because of the sweat (hey, here's so hot and I work as a waitress).
So I washed my hair with the step 1 shampoo, then applied the keratin, then let it stay with a cap for several hours (just to be sure) then blowdried at medium heat (as they tell you to do) without brush. They were all shiny and sh*t, but as I started brushing them at maximun heat all the shiny sh*t was gone and I had all the product crumpling out of the hair, just like the first time I did it.
I still didn't flatironed them, cuz today I had to work and I finished the treatment very late yesterday, but there's nothing different from the first time.
Anyone experienced something similar to this or has any advice to give?

That evening finally I was able to pass the flat iron using a fine tooth comb and the result was way better then the first time. I don't know, but I'm quite positive, if it's because I redid it just after 2 months instead than 4. Plus, the other time I just passed the flat iron but didn't use the fine tooth comb with it (just when I applied the treatment). It improved a little bit the result, but as I previously said, mostly is because I still had the previous treatment on.
I wrapped my hair for the night but it wasn't easy because they're halfway down the back. So the following morning (or I must say 3/4 hours later) I sweated a little and: the hair near the roots were f*cking CURLY, plus due to the wrap they had a strange weave here and there.
Yesterday I didn't pass the flat iron because I was exausted and this morning they are curlier then yesterday near the roots (and I didn't sweat tonight) and an even strangier weave on the lenght.
What I can say now is I think this treatment for my type of hair can work after several times you redo it but, because of the lack of formalehyde and other junk, it doesn't keep afro hair to regress to curly at the minimum hint of humidity or sweat. You have to constantly flat iron them and use a powerful blow drier to ger rid of the curls near the roots. It just helps in keeping the lenght softer and shinier,but I repeat, the shine and softness are things you, with hair like mine, can achieve after several applications of this product.
I hope that, at least, it can really protect my hair from all this heat. If I start loosing my hair or if they start to split at the ends because of the flat iron I'm going to strangle someone.
If you have really curly hair you have to pay more and redo it much more frequently. Maybe after a year, if your hair are still there and even longer then before, they will look like a white girl ones....
Still I'm upset with their company for didn't answering me. It ain't professional.

Looks like it's already passed a week or two, all the hair at the roots are again impossibly curly,no solution. The ends are horrible and my hair are starting to break. At the minimum sweat (shoot me,Rome's impossibly humid) outside they become all puffy and curly and messy. The other night I worked on a rooftop (I'm a waitress) and my hair were a complete mess.
This treatment is good for people who have the ability to not to sweat at all and who live in a country with a dry temperature.

Did you flat iron your hair with a titanium flat iron after blow drying during the application process? What temperature was the flat iron set at?
Natural Renewal is not designed to straighten the hair and the results depend on the hair type, very curly or resistant hair will have different results to thin, fine hair.
With very curly resistant hair we say that your wave will be softened slightly, become more easy to manage and look and feel healthier.
I would like to fully understand the application process to figure out what went wrong and why you are not getting your desired results.

I can accept your apologizes, but I already sent you a detailed email months ago and I can't call you since I live in EU and not in USA.
Mine is a tourmaline ceramic ion flat iron and goes up to 200° Celsius. Almost impossible to find ones that goes further, here.
I know this ain't a relaxer (I hate them) but it couldn't keep my hair soft neither, I had to redo it after 2 months and now I'm wearing them curly (too humid here, I can't flat iron them every day, I don't have the time and I fear they could be damaged),but after the second treatment my curls loosened a lot.
By the way, mom's supplier told me he has a hair mask for me, thought it was yours so I went to your website and yes, it was yours but still no info about it. Going there I had the occasion to see you made a new formula for the Natural Renewal system, the Maxx.
Does is it more suitable for my hair or what? So I know what to tell the supplier next time I see him,

Ummmmm definitely just used the keratherapy and it STRIPPED my dark brown color in some spots to ORANGE!!!! Wtf??? Now what?

You're not doing the treatment right
We also work with the keratherapy
And the results are amazing
First wash your hair with regular shampoo once, then 3 times with the 1st step shampoo leaving it on for about 4 minuets each time, rinse and re apply, towel dry hair,
Put on the no formaldehyde keratin
Wrap hair in cling foil and a towel over that
Leave for 60 mins
Rins within 60 seconds
Towel dry
Apply keratin hairmask
Leave for 15 mins
Rins thoroughly
Dry medium heat
Straighten on 220 celcius
No humidity for at least 24 hours
