Which one do you prefer & why ?

I prefer powder because it easier to apply and looks natural and also because I have oily skin so using a cream alone won't work well for me:( But I would definitely pair the two together so that would ensure my blush to stay on a bit longer than if I were to use a powder blush on its own!

I never thought to use both for more staying power ! Lol. Im going to try that.

I like them both, but I prefer powder. It's less messy than cream blushes.

I prefer powder because it's less messy to apply and much faster... but the difference is really in the finish:

Powder foundation does not blend as well into your skin and has a tendency to sit atop the layer of foundation. Not so great w/ anyone w/ peach fuzz for cheeks... but fantastic for matte looks. To avoid the look of blush floating on top of your skin VS being blended in, set your makeup w/ fix+ or some sort of setting spray to achieve the dewey finish.

Cream blush blends almost naturally into your skin/foundation... the only problem is finding the formula that does not break you out or finding a good application technique that makes it easy to apply. I love how my MUFE HD blushes look, but they're so pigmented, it's almost difficult to apply w/o being wasteful of the product. Gives a great dewey finish, but can quickly turn into an oil slick if not set properly.  =(

I wanna try something peachy that wont fade after 3 hrs. I have combo/oily skin. Suggestions ?

I've heard really good things about the NYC cream blush sticks... but I haven't used them myself. I would suggest MUFE HD blushes if you're willing to splurge, they're EXTREMELY pigmented.  =)

I have been using a sample size of one of the tarte cheek stains and I like it, it stays all day and I also have combo/oily skin. I am not sure of the other stains as the one I have is discontinued, but mine is pretty pigmented. The other ones look fairly sheer except for TEN.

Most of the time I prefer powder blush, but I am just now discovering the lovliness of blush sticks. I always set my "stain" with a translucent powder. I like the consistency of the nars multiples as well so I think I am going to also investigate those further.

I prefer powder...mainly because I have oily skin....so I'm afraid to even try the cream blushes lol.

All of you are so helpful. I'm gonna try the tip from earlier about the cream & dry for a longer wear.

I love the finish of cream blushes, but they can end up looking very shiny if you've got oily skin.

For a true peach, I'd recommend Cantaloupe or Melba (MAC) or for something more coral, Salsarose (MAC) or the clay blush in Tipsy from Tarte.

i really love cream blushs, they have a beautiful finish, i dont have oily skin so they dont make me look too 'shiny', and i always set it with a powder to add staying power but i really do prefer them on their own.
i do like powder as well as its a lot quicker and less work my fav is melba-mac.

Ok. I'm gonna try nars orgasm multiple & blush. I'll post a pic so you all can see ! Lol

I have a few cream blushes but I haven't used them yet, because I dread the application for some reason. I prefer powdered over it. If I want more staying power I use a primer or a mousse blush for lasting power.

I used powder because for 2 reasons: 1) I was so afraid of cream. I was born in the 70's cream blushers were harsh! 2) I hate to use my fingers to apply makeup - I think it's unsanitary and it always ends up under my fingernails. Then Stila released their blusher pots and I was HOOKED! Then they discontinued them and I cried. So back to powder! Right now I'm rocking Physician's Formula Happy Booster in Translucent, highlighting my Chanel Narcisse. xoxo

I switch between both. I used to be all about powder since the liquids and creams seemed a bit too fiddly for me. I tried Benefit's Benetint but it failed to impress me.

Finally came across MUFE HD Cream Blush and I have been using it fairly regularly ever since. Love it. So pigmented and it stays on, which is a miracle considering my oily skin and the weather here in Singapore.

The Urban Decay cheek tint is great, too. I have it in "BANG" and it's just a joy to use. Glides on smooth and it stays put.

i dont have a problem with mess, because i use a brush to apply the cream blush which works perfectly for me.

I have this weird switch off with both blushes. Whenever I'm using a matte foundation, I top if off with a cream blush just to add a nice sheen, where as I'm using a glowy/more moisturizing foundation, I use a powder pigmented blush like NARS or for a barely there hint of blush, I use something like Chanel Joules Contraste blush.

Powder because of how oily my skin is. I tried a few cream blushes and they'd be gone within an hour.

I would never pick between the two because I ALWAYS layer both. I love NYX cream blushes for an economical cream blush option. (Check out my mini review and swatches http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1ZqKxYWjZE) I find applying cream blushes to be easiest with my fingers rather than a brush and then I set them with powder blush on top using a Sigma F10 brush (http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/f10.htm&Click=15567).

I got NYX cream blush in glow & hot pink & I ADOREEEEE them. it gives me a glow that I like if im going for a dewy finish. When I want more of a matte, i use powder blush.

I really like powder blush for the "on-the-go-super-nice-glow" look (hahaha wth?!) but now that it's summer time and I have more time in the morning doing my makeup, I really love the creamblend blushes by mac ;D

Absolutely love cream blush. Even though I have oily skin at the end of the day I don't look like a hot mess when set with a setting powder. It is a bit on the dewy side but I don't mind. I notice when I do wear powder blushes it doesn't last all day for me but cream does. I guess it just depends on the skin type and the finish you like. Matte or dewy

I'd have to say powder. I bought one of those urban decay cream ones and it sits in the back of my drawer :/ Love mac powder blush the most :)
