Here's the thing, though: MAC has much wider availability, they're a much more well-known brand, and they've been around for much longer (20 years, I think?). Most of Illamasqua's products are still available solely in the UK, not many people know about them yet, and they're only about three years old. Also, MAC is more affordable than Illamasqua. For any brand to become more popular than MAC, it's going to take a lot of time, clever marketing, and patience.
Meanwhile, the model does have eyebrows (look at the close-up photo of her); they're just very, very light.
