Hey Ladies and Gents, I seriously love this site and have already taken some recommendations to heart (i.e. Soma's CeraVe's recommendations, Mandy's Meow Cosmetics recommendations).

So as you can see, I'm back to using mineral make up for the fact that I'm trying to help my face breathe under all that make up. So far so good, I don't have ugly bumps and what not all over my face anymore.

I plan on using Meow Cosmetics for foundation, but since it's an online only brand, the shipping may take a while to get to Hawaii, and I'm pretty much out of my samples. So I was wondering what are some good drug store brands to use in the mean time? Or if it's really good, I'll probably convert.

Thanks in advance for everyone's suggestions.

Almay makes a pretty good mineral makeup housed in tube with a brush at the end. The only issue is that for the amount of product you get it ends up being more expensive than bare minerals. If you're only looking for something to hold you over it's really nice. Have you found better results with mineral makeup than traditional foundation? I never noticed anything different with my skin.

I've used many different types of liquidf foundation (I really like the finish) due to the fact that it really covers everything. I've tried M.A.C., MUFE, Neutrogena, Revlon, L'oreal, etc. But I noticed I would still break out a lot. Not just one pimple here and there, and not just during my periods, but I literally broke out every where -- every day (it seemed). When I thought a pimple was gone forever, 3 more takes it's place. =(

Hopefully, I can go back to using liquid foundation, because I do plan on it.

I just want to get this acne thing under control, and since I've switched to mineral, my the horrible breakouts calmed down. Now, I have tons of scarring... gross!!

I had a feeling the price for the amout of product you get wasn't going to be a good ratio. =| So I guess it's just something to hold me over. =)

Thanks for the recommendation Jaime.

Have you considered tinted moisturizers (maybe Physicians Formula)? They are a little less harsh on the skin. It does have slightly less coverage, but you can go over problem areas with a concealer and set it with a powder.

Also, do you get the same results (as far as break outs go) with "powder foundation"? Maybe that might be something to look into?
