Does anyone have it? And if so, I am ready to get mine, and I hear all you need is a photo of your work and a business card for proof......I'm also a model too, so a photo and a resume would work as well, but I want to get 40% off if I apply under the MUA category....lol
And what are the benefits of the card?

You need a copy of photo identification and two pieces of professional criteria. It seems to be pretty hit or miss with what they'll accept, some people have had minimal criteria and been accepted while others have been denied for the same. Couldn't say why..
From the website:
"Provide two current pieces from the following that indicate your selected category/profession:
Composite Card, Business Card with name and specific profession, Editorial Page with name credit, Union Card, Professional License, Diploma/Certificate, Publication Masthead, Program/press Materials with name, Contract on Production Company Letterhead, Crew/Call List on Prod. Co. Letterhead, Professional Letter of Reference of Employment.
A Head Shot & Resume can only be used by Model or Performer/On-Air-Talent applicants. We do not accept business licenses, websites, pay stubs or tax forms as Professional Criteria."

I got mine as a MUA by sending in copy of my Cosmetology license, business card, and letter of reference from employer stating I am a MUA for the company. I faxed it too. so it got approved 1 day.

I need to get mine as well. I hope a call sheet and a certification will do. It annoys me that you have to pay a annual fee. MAC is like the wet and wild of high end cosmetics. MAKE UP FOR EVER doesn't even charge you. Hmpm!

Hi, Lovelies!
So MUA's and Models/Actors can get this? I always wondered who it was limited to--I have my massage therapy license here in FL (but I am kinda doubting that works hahaha!) I am working on a portfolio, though! I also have the business card part down.
Good luck with it!

i have one. if you are a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician you can get only 30%. If you are a MUA you can get 40%, but you have to show them proof. this can either be business cards, a letter from a makeup school(if you attended one), and even some photos from your portfolio. you have to show them atleast 2. you can also check out their website macpro.com for more info.

I submitted my business card and a professional letter of reference of employment. It took about two weeks to get an email from MAC with my membership number saying I could immediately get my discount at stores using my number and ID until I received my actual card which took almost two months to receive.
Lori basically listed the benefits. You get to purchase new items online about one week before they debut in stores. You get free shipping on online purchase of $150+ and occasionally get free shipping offers. As a MUA you get 40% of most products, the discount usually does not apply to collections with special packaging such as the Wonder Woman or Hello Kitty collections.
The annual fee does kind of suck but with the amount of products I purchased this year, it really paid for itself quickly.
