I have a Solia one. I got if for 100 bucks and honestly, I think it kicks a s Chi's @ss!

It's amazing. Ive had it for about 4 years and it still works great! And it comes with a stand (:

It's cheaper now. And it comes with a pouch, but idk if it come with the stand anymore....but i think it might.

I've had my Chi for a year now and I love it! I got mines at Costco for $56 and the silk infusion for $10. Now that is a steal. It heats up fast and so far I've had no problems with it. I keep reading reviews about the cord getting damaged but mines is perfectly fine and keep in mind I throw my straightener around all over the place. One of my friends has a GHD straightener and its so cute but so pricey. If you look on eBay though you can find one BIN for like $80.

Cortex is a great brand also : )

GHD for me! My CHI used to snag my hair so much, it was bothersome. (my hair extends to the small of my back)

I bought mine for about $120, but it was the Midnight set... So it came with a super cute heat proof storage pouch, and two clips. Love that it has a 30 min auto/safety shut off, and it heats up in seconds!

GHD for me also! Love it! Bought my first one when I was 15 and got enough money to buy it! lol. That one broke last year (I dropped it WAY too much!! Oopsy!) and I had absolutely no reservations buying a new GHD, I wouldn't use anything else! I just, today actually, bought a curling iron as a christmas present to me from my little brother! lol. I cant remember the brand but I'll let you know later if its any good!

Gotta go with the Babyliss Pro. I have bi-racial hair that's curly, soft, puffy, and its hard to find a straightener that does the job and has a lasting impression on my hair. The titanium and ceramic plates of the babyliss are one of the only that keep my hair straight for longer than eight hours lol. I also had a rusk that worked ok, but it met its end with the bathroom floor as many of my eyeshadow palettes have :(
