Ps... for the best red lips, I always line and fill in my lips with a lip liner so my lips are perfect. Red doesn't work well with uneven ridges and such. :)

I love red lipsticks. I have so many favorites ranging from inexpensive red lipsticks by Rimmel to Kat Von D's Adora (which you can't find since it was a limited edition product). Hot Topic surprising makes a really good and vibrant red lip gloss (I think it's $7). Wet 'n' Wild had a red body crayon (at Halloween) that I used as a base with a red lip gloss that looked really nice as well.
Just keep one thing in mind - there are various shades of reds - orange reds and blue reds so picking one that looks good on you will depend on if you have warm or cool skin.

My perfect red lipstick is Chanel Allure Lacquer in Dragon. Long lasting, moisturizing formula that dries down and stays put. I LOVE this color.
More of a blue based red that looks good on nearly every complexion and a total go to of mine.
I will admit though, I have my eye on that Ruby Woo from MAC...a Matte red? So pin up.

I just bought MACs red Russian and I love it. Never thought I could pull red off. I guess it just depends on the shade.
