I would definitely say the best red for me out there is MAC Lady Danger. It has great coverage and it's the perfect orangey/red, it looks very vintage and it's super matte...I love it!

mac russian red is a great start, mac red, ruby woo, lady danger, the first viva glam, and Dior makes a great gloss but it looks like a lipstick and a gloss in 1! the price tags a bit steep [31 bucks] but its lovely. im unsure if it has a name but just check out ur nearest counter and describe that to them i'm sure youll love it!

I forget the exact name of the lipstick, but from Revlon's Matte line, the red one. Its amazinggg!!! and the price is decent as well.

I have 2 from Wet n' Wild that I love! 1 is a darker purple-based red and it's called Dark Wine. The other is a brighter more traditional red and it's called Cherry Frost. They are from the Silk Finish line and are only $0.99!

Buxom's Barcelona is my hands down favorite red lipstick!! You can line with it, its really matte and almost looks like a stain, if you gloss over it, its even hotter. It even has plumper in it! AND lasts forever!!! Can't beat it....

I never use to think I was able to pull off red lipstick. In my eyes only the pin up girls and platinum blonds can pull it off. I tried a few shades and just found it to be too much. Then I found an old lipstick in the bottom of my bag. It was OPI Prince George's Passion. It is a darker crimsony red. I tried it for fun and love it. Not sure if its right for me but when the right eye makeup it doesn't look half bad. I am still on the search for the perfect red lipstick LOL.
